Volunteers of America Thrift Store- Pickerington — Attraction in Violet Township

I’ve always had a great experience at this store. I’ve shopped here since it opened. I wanted to share today’s experience. They have a monthly 50% off day (last Tuesday of month). A lady was looking for a mate to a pair of black Hoka running shoes for her son as he is a server, is required to wear black, and wears a large size. She was about to give up when I suggested she ask an associate. She ended up asking Ms. Corne. During this very busy day when Ms. Corne was likely needed on the floor, she went to the back to look for the mate, found it, and brought it to the lady. The lady was so grateful. I am highlighting this because I appreciate Ms. Corne’s customer focus. She has always been friendly, kind and willing to help the customer in whatever way she can. If you happen to shop here, you may know her by her infectious smile and laugh. She is definitely a bright light at this particular VOA and I look forward to seeing her...

JOKE! Will never return to this location. I was purchasing 3 items. One had no price on it. Basic red zipup..zip up.. brand names no reason to mark up... was denied to buy it by the Nasty monotone cashier. She has zero business bring around people. We asked if someone could tag it...at lunch.. we asked for manager...at lunch again is what we were told. As we literally just watched a manager do a override on the register next to us... I asked that cashier to get the manager. She did right away. The pointless young lady came out and stopped 10 feet away from us and didn't even care to listen. Went straight to the cashier who said we didn't understand??.. wth??? The "manager" still looking like a deer in headlights said absolutely nothing with her iced coffee in hand. So embarrassing. Over some donated clothes that helps...

Very very nice. It is one of the best. It's like shopping at a regular retail store. Very clean, organized, and spacious which is perfect during the pandemic. Name brand clothes always found. The one drawback is there is no size labels so you do spend extra time rummaging to figure out where your size is you have to get good at guessing, but I can deal with that since pricescare very good compared to Goodwill who's thrift store clothes are very overpriced we kind of steer clear of them now. Great selection normally unless they have been real busy if you wait a little they replenish. I needed clothes for funeral and swimming clothes and found both and name brand. Staff are very pleasant.
