It is NOT a cashiers business to criticize someone for what they are buying and how much. All I wanted to know was, if my discount come off my meat. I didn’t see it on my end before tapping my card. I said oh that’s different where the discount showed vs where most stores shows and a snide remark that it’s still the same thing thrown at me. I looked shocked and said nothing then was told by the cashier he’s not making a big deal out of it. Well either way I I didn’t say anything for that to go down. BUT THEN tells me my pack of meat isn’t enough to feed more than one or two people anyways. I’m standing there even more shocked.
You know I could have stayed home and not been irritated but a quick few minute trip to the store and then I feel like I need who whip out the inner Karen.
I didn’t say any of what I’m about to write to him. But what I was THINKING was, maybe I don’t have money for a lot of meat, maybe not all of us eat meat, maybe I have another package at home and have unexpected guest coming so had to supplement. Maybe 10 of us are splitting this little bit of meat and the reason I got a huge discounted day old bread loaf because it’s all I can afford. Anything could be someone’s circumstances especially with this horrible economy and prices at the grocery store. It’s literally all over no matter who you speak to people struggling because of costs. It’s none of the cashiers business to make such a remark to a customer about anything they are buying. This cashier is old enough to known better. This isn’t his first time making remarks to me either but the first time I’m saying something.
But what I simply said back was , well guess it’s a good thing there is only two of us at home then isn’t it!
No I don’t need to speak to a manager. I’m doing...
Read moreI have had several bad customer service experiences at this location, I should have posted them all but I am only posting about the most recent one here. I went to the store to grab a few last minute items to bake a birthday cake and get some milk, all of which fit into a hand basket. At the check out line with a cashier (not self check-out), the cashier picked up and turned the basket upside down, DUMPING the milk and items out onto the belt. When I looked at her with my mouth hanging open in shock, I asked "did you just dump that upside down?", her reply was 'Yup". I stood there shocked and not sure if I should just walk away and leave the items or what. I ended up paying for them and on my way out of the store I looked for a manager, there were none in sight so I left (I needed to get a cake in the oven so i was pressed for time). When I got home I told my husband what had happen, he said I should have told a manager. I called the store, asked for a manager (his name was Doug), explained what had just happened. Doug apologized and offered to send me a gift card. I provided my address, and nothing ever showed up. Groceries are expensive now-a-days so having them 'dumped' upside down where they smashed some items and potentially compromised the seal of the top of the milk containers was very upsetting. A manager pretending to care is even more frustrating, but I guess that too shouldn't be surprising. In the future I will spend the extra 5 minutes at the traffic light and go across the street to Kroger, I have never had a bad...
Read moreOrder two cakes a week apart went inside gave order to Jennifer. I ask for cream cheese icing with extra cream cheese. Well need less to say they put butter cream. I called back on November 17, 2018 when I picked my first cake up to inform them my cake wasn’t right. Was told to call back the next day to speak with Jennifer or Campale, I did that and asked since my order was wrong for my first cake could they make sure that they did my order right for cake number two. Guess what just pick my second cake up and it’s wrong to. Called back to speak with the store manager a guy name Jeff or Joe said he was the person I could talk to. The reason why I don’t know what his name actually is because he wouldn’t repeat it, how rude if you are a manager of a store. His solution was to bring the cake back for a refund or they can give me a cake out the case. Excuse me it is for my daughter’s birthday how can you offer a cake in place of a special order that your employee’s messed up again. I always get my cakes there not any more. Never had an issue when Annette was there she always made my cakes to perfection. The bakery has went down hill since she left. They also need to replace Jeff or Joe whatever his name is because he lacks customer service big time. I will start giving my money to Sam’s...
