Good evening everyone! During my relaxing stay here tonight at the Pizza Cottage Parking Lot Hotel and Resort I have found a new passion for literature and the fine arts. Please enjoy my first short story: It was a cold and blustery evening when I ordered my pizza online at 5:20pm. Brrrrrrr. The internet said that it would be ready in 20 minutes and to pick it up at 5:40pm. Ever since the invention of the internet by Al Gore in the 90s I have always been hesitant to believe anything I read on the ol' web browser. Be that as it may...I allowed a few extra minutes since it was NYE and also right in the thick of a global pandemic which may or may not be fake news. Who's to say? Moving forward, I drove over to the restaurant at 5:40pm braving the elements that were this cold December's eve. I arrived and paid for my pizza at 5:44pm. The girl was friendly and seemed like she had a bright future ahead of her in the Pizza distribution biz. That's when it happened... She delivered the news to me with a crushing blow to my soul. Her words still echo through the cab of my truck like a locomotive traveling through my ear canals....she said..."Your pizza isn't ready please pull around the building and wait in the parking lot and I'll bring it out to you." I did as instructed... I mean why not... In the 30 seconds that we had known each other she had never given me reason not to trust her. Well boy am I a poor judge of character. As I type this to you now it is currently 6:47pm and I'm still waiting on my 1 large pepperoni pizza and 1 medium cheese pizza. I can't go in the building because the line is around the interior of the restaurant and back again. Poor lost souls just trying to carve out an existence. I can't go back through drive through the line because it is around the building and back again. The phones automated message system says that the lines are busy but based on my experience this evening I'm wondering if someone didn't forget to pay the bill? I understand it's NYE but I didn't expect to spend mine sitting in the parking lot of this dump waiting for $25 worth of cold pizza instead of at home with my wife & kids. What a world, what a cruel cruel world. I'm so cold and alone. I only wish I could live to see 2021...it's getting dark now...so cold... Update!!!: I finally got my pizza at 6:54pm! I had to literally corner the girl while she was giving someone else their pizza in the parking lot with my truck. Thank God for my lift kit and mud tires because she looked spry. She actually didn't seem to mind though. Her eyes looked at me almost as if to say, "The olllll corner me with your truck move huh? How unoriginal guy... Can't you come up with something new?" And I would like to say that if you find yourself reading this ma'am, to answer your question, no I cannot. I'm too starved and weak to drive and or think creatively. My Uber will be here in 20 minutes to take me back home. I can only hope that my cold pizza hasn't grown moldy by the time I arrive to my family. I can't wait to see how big the...
Read moreHave been searching for a new pizza place…..this is definitely not it. Over the years we’ve heard great glowing appraisals of PC. Boy…..are others wrong.
Tried dine in this Monday night 4-21-25. Arriving about 5:10. First impression was the lack of impression what with the basic Formica decor. Just a box. Also interesting groups of people.
Menu was not impressive. Fortunately we had sense to take two when we sat ourselves. Booths soft squishy seating. Get a table if you really have to try it.
Two thin and boy are the cardboard thin all the way personal small pizzas. When presented the is come on a white card board circle the exact diameter of the pie. Hard to handle. However there were black plastic dishes with thin metal knife and fork that are water spotted.
Unsweet tea at least good but served in a blue plastic glass so you have no idea of the looks of whatever drink it contains.
We looked at the pies and each other and knew we’d made a very bad choice picking this wonderous place.
Well when hungry. You eat. Did stop at a store on the way home to buy makings for a second dinner. Pie ingredients included poverty sliced thin thin onions and peppers that were mostly unbaked. Mushrooms pepperoni and sausage mystery meat globuals.
Used restrooms on the way out that were dank and cold with and extra strong wafting of fabulous or some such smelly cleaner. Great when mixed with damp restroom smell.
Impressed by the wad of napkins used to hold a meeting room door open.
Thus is my one only and never again experience!
Received a nice message regular mail from I presume corporate. A money off coupon for a second visit was included.
That immediately went into the trash as who’d wanted to return after our...
Read moreI would like to give a big shout-out to Lily. My post is 6 months too long so please forgive me in the delay. My birthday that I celebrated on December 17th, Lilly gave me the best service ever. Her 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟customer service was phenomenal. From the moment I addressed you, you were polite kind enthusiastic with a :-) and reassurance that you were the best at what you did/do. Your services for that night was impeccable and you treated me and my family like we were your family. So I thank you for celebrating me with my family on my 56th birthday and treating me like a Superstar. And the food was hot, tasty, and mouth watering from the presentation of food deliver to our table. All was great; however, my favorite was the fried pickles. They were coated evenly, they were bite-sized, they were nice and hot, and flavorful. If I thought any better," I thought I was in a Southern Restaurant," from the deliciousness and quality of the fried pickles. And the other food that we had was The Spicy garlic and Thai chicken, and the BBQ chicken, along with the fried mozzarella and the Sicilian crust pizza was a tasty crust added to the pizza. So my best wishes to my outstanding 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 waitress Lilly and the marvelous time I had at the Pizza Cottage. So if you're looking for a fine dining that is budget friendly, please come to try the tasty food, enjoyable atmosphere. Check out the Five Star Pizza Cottage, on 256 in Pickerington.
