My Chinese friend went to the American Asian Foodmarket this morning to buy yam for us to cook special soup and make lunch. As a result, when she took it home, I found that this yam was bad. I didn't know whether it was the staff's negligence or the boss's request. I feel very uncomfortable when I see it. I feel cheated. This place used to be really good, but now it's too disappointing. Don't go there if you don't want to be disappointed.

For an 🐲Asian Market🐲 it’s a 5 ⭐️so it is what you are looking for when it comes to authentic Chinese food. No one knows English, if that, and none of the products have English, so be ready for that. I had some packaged seafood and I really tastes like a high protein and healthy meal if eaten in moderation. Beef jerky was also interesting. There are also staple Asian chips like shrimp fries, which are actually pretty good.

Pretty much everything you need for your Asian feast. Not organized by country/cuisine..so browse through the aisles! Items in the coolers and freezers are behind PVC strips so again, take your time and browse. If you're not familiar with Asian groceries or markets, brace yourself for all the smells that will greet you when you enter. 😉

Be cautious with this business. “Daisy”the owner of this Chinese supermarket, has a WeChat English name. She is from Fujian, China. Unfortunately, she is very dishonest, petty, and has a bad character. She behaves in a stingy and narrow-minded way. They have created several local Chinese groups, but if you expose Daisy's overcharging and fraudulent behavior towards customers in the group, she will hold a grudge against you and kick you out of the chat. To make matters worse, she feels that she has offended many people. For example, when those who have been kicked out of the group come to shop, she becomes paranoid and hires her family members who are illegal immigrants to monitor the entrance, just in case. If a person hasn't done anything wrong, why would they be afraid? Only dishonest people who have done many bad things would operate their business every day with fear and worry. Clearly, Daisy's narrow-mindedness, petty actions, and morally corrupt character as the owner from Fujian will not yield good results, and her business will not last. Furthermore, their entire family consists of illegal immigrants, and they employ illegal immigrants, so there will surely be reports made. She often overcharges customers at the cash register, scans items multiple times, or puts a higher price on items that don't match their labels. Some items even have no price tags at all (you can report them as unlisted). Scanning expensive items multiple times is a common occurrence. Everyone must be careful and observe the screen. She will also try to chat with you and secretly overcharge you. If you want to buy Asian groceries, there are many other honest supermarkets around. If you find this store convenient, be sure to carefully check the items she scans. If you discover fraudulent charges, bravely speak up. However, she might ignore or downplay it, and then kick you out of the chat. If she continues to overcharge and deceive customers, and mistreats them, don't hesitate to leave this store and report her and her illegal immigrant family to VA City, VDACS , BBB , IRS, and USCIS. You can even call 911 because they use mafia tactics to track and threaten customers. Upon reviewing the negative reviews on Google, it is evident that the common theme revolves around the overcharge fraudulent ,Scam practices of this female owner during the checkout process. Let's hope that such situations no longer occur, and we should support honest and law-abiding businesses and...

WATCH OUT FOR SCAMMERS. My friend bought a whole chicken and the sticker said 15.99 and the cashier charged her for 18.99.

I get that cashier might make mistakes but my friend said the cashier took a second before telling her the total and just ignored it. Since my friend was in a hurry(It takes a decent time to cook a whole chicken), she just went home and tryna come back couple days later to do a refund.

The return policy is a week so my friend went there in 5 days. When she showed a lady the receipt and everything, what she first did was not apologize but said: You bought it in Oct xx (whatever day my friend bought the chicken)!?? Like my friend was tryna scam them. Then idk what else the lady asked my friend but she said she took forever to figure out what's wrong, but another guy came and gave my friend a refund.

This place also sell expired groceries and snacks, unhealthy amd old lobsters and crab etc. The worst is the vegetables, they will hide the bad vegetables in the middle of the bag and use the good ones to cover it. They are probably the most dishonest business in the VB I have ever seen. If y'all want Asian groceries, just go the the Farmer's Int. Food in S Rosemount, not the best but better...

The owner/cashier is a mean shrew. Items are very over-priced. I have shopped here for years until they changed their owner. The new owner, which seems like the middle age mean woman that also acted as cashier, has a very bad attitude. If you decided not to buy their overpriced stuff, she would sneer and made some sarcastic comments.

And yes, their stuff is very over-priced, some times 150% more than other Asian store or online. And they usually don't put a price tag on the items. You never knew what is the price until the item is scanned. And if the item could not scan a price, the shrew would just randomly typed a crazy price in the checkout machine. For example, a fish sauce I have bought for years that is $4, both here or in other Asian markert, was priced at $7.99 when she somehow could not scan the barcode and just randomly decided it was $7.99.

I understand they could have their own pricing system. I accept that it might be more expensive than other places. But no showing price tag on items and randomly jack up the price on the spot totally ruining my experience with it. And don't mention the ugly sneer the owner/cashier made when you don't want to pay for way...
