Golden Hour Boutique — Attraction in Virginia Beach

"KINDNESS IS GOLDEN!" Those are the words you'll find on the walls of this one of a kind boutique, and it's the words that the 2 female owners/boss babes (and their hubbies & the Whole Golden Gang!) Truly LIVE by. I've had the absolute Blessing of being able to work first hand with them since they're super passionate about Lifting up the Virginia Beach community and Supporting Local Artists (No, seriously! They have a WHOLE SECTION dedicated to local artists, as well as local merch throughout the store!) and they have been some of the Kindest, most empowering, authentic women that I've ever gotten to work alongside. Not only do they embody their motto, but they also influence others to want to be their kindest and best selves too. They've always talked about how they're so blessed to be working with the best people, but the reality is that their Kindness and genuine good vibes just inspire others to want to meet them at that level.

I went there with my best friend to get a mani pedi for my birthday, and they did a wonderful job! They were very patient with us (we took a LONG time choosing gel colors). The colors I chose were a little off from the chart, but not too much to not like them. I got a sparkly coral for my toes and a chrome blue to purple for my hands. The only complaint I have is when they were doing my manicure, the guy cut both my middle fingers when he was cleaning the cuticles at the sides of my fingers. Of course this happens a lot when dealing with cuticles, and he did use antiseptic to clean the wound right after it happened, but now I have an infection in both fingers. I don't know if this is because of dirty tools or if something I previously had on my hands got into the cuts caused it, but I'm a tiny bit skeptical of the tools now. I will definitely be going back to this nail salon though. Accidents happen and I'm sure they didn't think this would be the outcome. Wonderful...

My sister and I had a girls getaway to VA Beach for her first time away from her infant. We popped in to Golden Hour hoping they might have some good jeans or really anything that would make her feel more pulled together but comfortable in her post partum body. We scored a pair of cute jeans and an adorable army green light jacket at great prices. Not maternity clothes but just sized up. Cute selection and variety of clothes and accessories. That’s not why I’m writing this review. It was the women working there that set this place far apart. They were beyond helpful and so enthusiastic and encouraging about my sister shopping post partum. They had all been there and felt like her own cheering squad as she tried on items.
