Organic Food Depot Grocery — Attraction in Virginia Beach

I been shopping at Organic Food Depot Norfolk location for over 10 years. I moved to VB and was happy to see it was another location available for me to shop.

I often use reusable bags to purchase my items and while shopping when I first visited the store some months I felt that I was being watched I didn’t care for it but just brushed it off paid for my items.

Within the past two weeks it was more evident because in the back fridge I was being watched again and it was the same cashier. I became a regular customer and I am very disappointed because I spoke to this cashier several times and though that my frequency of the store would required me to be monitored. When I brought it to the attention of another cashier my “allegations” were immediately dismissed and given the statement “we don’t do that here.” But it did happen and I’m not going to argue anyone. I told the the cashier I would not be purchasing the stuff my purchase but my husband who was with me purchased them for me instead.

It’s interesting because I spoke to another cashier possibly owner in the past and she mentioned they had theft of some of their products. So I was very much aware of some of the stores challenges but I’m also not a thief. I never experienced this once at the Norfolk location and I’m glad I have another location to go back to. I absolutely LOVE Oragnic Food Depot! It's the best little hidden treasure for organic food in VA Beach! Whenever I need a few things and don't want the crowded normal grocery stores, you'll always find me roaming down the aisles here. They have a small walk-in fridge in the back for fresh fruits & vegetables and other items that you'd normally find in the refrigerated section of a normal grocery store. was hung up on twice when I inquired of positions within the establishment, as help wanted signs were posted. The owner hung up on me, in which during the second call and stated verbatim, "We only hire people who know how to use the phone." I am profoundly taken aback by the unprofessionalism, and lack of customer service as it is pertaining to answering and addressing inquiries via phone. I can assuredly say, I would never work for any employer that would exemplify their professionalism in this way; not to mention purchasing any goods there.
