Went here on Sunday for my sister's birthday dinner. I ordered birria tacos for me and her. I told the guy only beef. No onion, no peppers, no cheese, no cilantro, literally just beef. He said ok like he understood. So he brings my food out and it has a salsa at the bottom, cheese, peppers, and onion. My sister's comes out and is the exact same. We both tried it because maybe we'll like it. We didn't. So I had my aunt explain to him that it was wrong and that this isn't what I asked for. He then tells me that the beef is already made. So my issue was that he didn't tell me that when I was ordering. THEN, we asked for a manager. Guy says the manager isn't her. Ok bud, so it's just a bunch of team members and nobody is in charge..ok. AND THEN, I tell him he can just take it off and he tells me that they're still going to charge me for it. You're going to charge me for the food that I didn't eat and didn't like because YOU got it wrong. So a different guy comes over and we explain it to him. He said he could either change it and bring me something else or just take it off the check. Now why on earth would I want to order something new after y'all just gave me a hard time. At this point I've lost my appetite. Then the original server proceeds to walk away smiling and laughing like something is funny. It wasn't even about the order being messed up. Like I could've sent it back and had a remade or fixed or SOMETHING. It was the way they went about it. Anyways, I don't...
Read moreI’m giving this restaurant a 3-star rating, specifically for their "Burrito California." As a Californian, I feel this burrito doesn't quite live up to the traditional expectations of a true California burrito. Typically, a California burrito includes key ingredients like French fries and pico de gallo, both of which were notably absent in this version. According to numerous sources, including food experts and regional culinary guides, the California burrito is defined by its inclusion of crispy French fries as a primary ingredient. This feature originated in San Diego, where it became a beloved variation of the traditional Mexican burrito.
Additionally, pico de gallo is another standard component, providing a fresh, tangy contrast to the heavier elements like carne asada or carnitas. The lack of this garnish left the burrito feeling incomplete in terms of flavor balance. While I understand that variations exist across different regions or personal interpretations, the absence of these two iconic ingredients seems to diverge from what most people would expect when ordering a "California burrito."
That said, the overall food was still satisfying, and it did help quell my hunger. However, if you're expecting a traditional California burrito, this one may not meet your expectations based on the widely...
Read moreAs soon as we walked out I told my husband I wish I had remembered to take pictures!! The drink menu has a lot of different options and the mixers used are from fresh squeezed fruit for alot of the margaritas. I got the skinny margarita, and it was delicious!! My only reason for 4 stars, not 5 is that the waiters make the drinks and ours didn’t know his menus well. There was no way the margarita my husband ordered had the habanero moonshine in it, or several other components as well. It tasted looks a classic margarita. A little light on the tequila poor as well.
The food menu had everything I would hope for on it, especially Carnitas!! They also have the option for you to choose between 4 types of beans if you don’t like refried beans, like me!
Waiter was good (needs to know his drink menu better and refer to it when making the drinks). The food was delicious and not overpriced , and restaurant and bathrooms were clean!! We will be going back soon and next time I will take photos of...
