Such a great venue to have so close to my home that actually attracts artists that I want to see. Such beautiful views from multiple locations inside the venue and seeing the sunset against the stage with live music being played is certainly a sight to behold. The sound quality at the venue is terrific and staff working the venue are always friendly as well as helpful. Food trucks provide the food options for every show and I'd say there's a nice variety to select from. Plenty of bathrooms as well as beverage stations for alcohol as well as non-alcohol choices. Free parking is another great perk of seeing a show at this gorgeous venue surrounded by quarries. I paid up for VIP recently and it was undoubtedly worth it considering there was a free appetizer buffet in the VIP tent along with seating, private bathrooms and a patio with more seating on the left side of the stage. My only gripe with this is that the whole patio should have been built with ability to see the bands on stage rather than just a sliver of the patio, but that's definitely not a deal breaker for me on purchasing VIP. The worst thing about this venue is having the smoking section right near the food trucks. As a former smoker I feel I can tolerate such odors more than others but I don't wanna smell tobacco when I'm trying to eat food. Even with my 2 gripes with this venue, I still gave it 5 stars as neither of those things would keep me from attending a show here and the venue is just such a high quality on so many fronts.

Saw the Mega Monsters tour with Lorna Shore, Mastodon, and Gojira here. Awesome bands and an overall amazing show, that was marred by the incompetent ampitheater staff. The good: The visuals and effects of the bands were top notch, including the giant video screens, CO2 cannons, and on-stage pyrotechnics. The venue sound was largely great, but there were a few isolated split-second losses of sound. Sound was LOUD but that could be the bands featured. Sound mix was great across the board. Venue had a good amount of restroom availability and had a lot of options at concessions. Prices seemed high to me but what can ya do? The bad: Site staff outside was confused and giving people the incorrect gates at which to queue. We started at C, moved down to G after being advised GA admission was there, only to be sent back to the original gate because "GA Pit" isn't part of GA I guess. Once back at the original gate, one staff member told us to get in yet a different line, while another staff member said to stay where we were. Better training and more clear signage would have gone a long ways into keeping things more clear. All in all, the pros outweigh the cons in my concert experience at the ledge. I would go back, depending on the show.

We saw Bonnie Raitt & her opener Mavis Staples on a beautiful July evening. The sound was great! Our view was great. And both performances were amazing! I recommend eating before you go to The Ledge. They had one food truck, an ice cream truck, & a pizza stand. That wasn't adequate for a crowd of 6000. Food lines were very long & they ran out of pizza during the opening act. Beverage lines were short but they had a lot of beverage stands.

We brought seat cushions along & they were helpful for our comfort on the chairs. The rows were numbered but the individual seats were not so you had to count them to find your correct seat in the row of 30 chairs. I would expect them to add numbers on the chairs at some point just to simplify seating. The rows had very little room for people to get in/out. Perhaps that discourages people from getting up during the show, but when/if they did get up, it was quite a task for people to get through the row without spilling drinks or stepping on feet.

Parking was free! The signage was excellent so we had no problem finding the place or navigating our way back to I-94.

All in all, it's a wonderful outdoor concert venue as long as you can count to 30 (forwards or backwards, depending on your seat!), you can handle people squeezing by you to get in or out of your row, and you don't come hungry! The sound, sight lines, & quarry ambience were...

Nice looking venue situated next to a lovely pond with cool fountains. Ample parking. It doesn't take too long to get out of the parking lots after shows. Concessions seem big enough that there aren't huge lines. Event staff were pretty friendly. The seats are just folding chairs but they were comfortable for the very short time I was seated. The seating area is more level than I would have expected. I thought there would be more of a rise to it, but at least the stage is high up so you can still see the band ok. Major cons were the tiny video screens that weren't even turned on (I was way down front, so not a huge bummer for me, but I bet it sucks being way in the back and not being able to really see the band) and the disappointing sound system. I think they need many more speakers and to have them positioned differently. I noticed other reviews stating the sound was really bad, so it must be an ongoing issue. Hopefully they can get that remedied. Also, they don't let you keep a lid for sodas or waters you buy, so that is not ideal. I can understand that they have to open alcohol for you, but I've never ever been somewhere to a concert or sporting event where they take away the bottle cap to a soda when you bought it. A drunk person spilled my expensive diet coke. Oh well. I think this could be a stellar venue but it is just...
