Read moreThis park is amazing and has it all. Multiple areas that you can reserve and they come with tables, bbq pits and giant built in umbrellas for shade if there are no trees around. This park is beautiful. There is s giant pond in the middle with a beautiful fountain. The are geese that hang out all the time. There is a giant room that you can rent for events. There is even a volleyball and basketball court. The kids play area is huge and has features that accommodate all ages. There is also a community pool in the same parking lot that you can pay to get into if you decide it's too hot to bbq. There was a skate park, tennis courts and football/ soccer field nearby that im assuming is all part of the same park.
I only have two complaints... maybe three. The first complaint is that the kids area is paved with pulverized rubber. This isn't really an issue but when it gets to be hot out, the rubber heats up too. Also, during high temperature days, it gives off a smell. But it is better than any form of bark and offers more protection for accidents. My second complaint is that although the geese and the pond are beautiful, they bring unsightly messes. A nice scenic walk around the pond quickly becomes a tip toe around the poop. My last complaint, which really isn't a complaint, is the parking. There wasnt a whole lot of parking and I had to unload picnic stuff and relocate to the street. Street parking was easy to find and free. So im not really complaining. It was a small inconvenience.
The kids park was mind blowing despite the smell that I mentioned before. It really has a little of everything for all ages. There are swings and slides for all ages. Tunnels to climb through. A climbing wall in the center. Bouncing bridges, monkey bars, ladders, mazes, xylophones, large "grass" hills to slide down... EVERYTHING! the nicest part is there are several benches for worn out children and parents to take a break in the shade. Another nice touch is the shady spots on the playground itself. Much of it is covered in canopies or roofs to provide relief from the sun.
This place is amazing and I wouldn't hesitate going back or reserving a...
Read moreWhatever you're looking for in a park - peace and quiet, place to walk, fun for the kids, new adventure, etc. - Heather Farm Park is thee Park. They have everything!! Kids jungle gym and play ground area. They have a main pond and the other little ones that break off from it, and no cap but you will see people fishing out of both. Stretches of walking paths on both sides of the park and I'm pretty sure 3 public bathrooms. Two 4sho4sho, but I think it's 3. And plenty of parking throughout the park whether you trying to have some me time, we time, smoke sesh, or meeting for a kick back BBQ. I'm telling you this park the shiГ. And for the most part it's a safe park. 5.O will do a round or drive thru sometimes (more on the weekends) but since it's not a grimey beat up park and everyone does their part to keep it frssh they have no reason to crash no parties.
Anyhoe, bottom line is don't sleep on this dope park. If you a park-person (like myself) you're going to feel the same way once you see and experience it.
Did I mention the tranquil garden they...
