While the studio is really lovely and all of the teachers are very knowledgeable, I did not love my experience at this studio. I participated in the "30 days of unlimited yoga for new members" package, which was wonderful because I was able to try out different styles of yoga with a variety of teachers. When it came time to renewing my membership, however, I decided against it due to my lackluster experience in this yoga community.
Despite having taken classes from a variety of teachers, including the owner, I did not feel welcomed by any of the teachers and I did not feel like they had any interest in me as a new member of the studio. Read moreYou won't find a better yoga studio than Onyx in the region. They're unsurpassed in the amount of classes, the variety of offerings, and the quality of the teachers. Whatever your energy level, you can find a class to match it. There's meditation, restorative yoga, candlelight, Yin, gentle Hatha, flow classes from Level 1 to mixed level to advanced, warm and hot classes, Kundalini, ashtanga, one of a kind pop-up classes, private sessions, special events, live music combined with yoga, guest lecturers and pretty much whatever else you can imagine. The management has proven they're open to listening to members and trying new things. Onyx even offers an amazing program of teacher training each year. After six years of taking nearly daily classes, the one problem I occasionally have is choosing between overlapping excellent classes with top-caliber caring teachers who all know what yoga is really about. This kind of nurturing environment comes with a high-energy loving community of yogis as an added benefit of membership. An...
Read moreHave been a member of this rich yoga community since the studio's inception ( ten years). The vibe of the studio is calm, serene and welcoming. There is really something for everyone here from neophyte beginner to seasoned practitioner with over 50 classes per week. This includes basic/beginner, gentle, vinyasa ( all level), kundalini, yin, ashtanga, hot/warm yoga. You name it, it's there. Teachers are well instructed, kind, compassionate and friendly. A truly great community of yogis and humans. Additionally there are interesting workshops. Hubby and I are regulars at singing/healing bowl meditations but there are other facinating workshops in addition to trainings and even travel for those interested ( India/Tropics etc). There is always something cool going on. Also available are introductory packages and payment...
