Frugal Furniture — Attraction in Warwick

I will now shop elsewhere for furniture after making two purchases a reclining sofa and recliner as Joe the mgr who has no people skills and customer service skills and the owner who did not make well on a recliner that’s not well constructed and will not take it back after three month. Telling the past owner a month after purchase I was not happy with it. There’s much more to say” about this place and the mgr but it’s all good now your store just lost a very big sale come next month.Steve the former owner and Deborah make this furniture store and the money it brings in. One other thing? Make sure you tip their delivery guys very well as I was told by the mgr Joe on the recliner delivery after my sofa delivery to make sure I tip them well this time. A tip is just that and I always tip very well no matter where I go.I don’t appreciate being demeaned byJoe yelling across the store to tip his guys well this time. All I have to say is don’t say your going to do something for me and than throw it in my face that I need to tip your guys well for doing it. I think 35 each to deliver is good., Will shop elsewhere now for lack of professionalism at its best by the mgr and the current owner who will not take back my recliner at three months old and told me to lift it on marketplace. Remember one thing, I contacted Steve when it was just a month old to say it was not suitable for me and my injury to my leg.

A first & last...

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Steve and Gilmore Furniture. And I didn't know Steve from a hole in the wall until I bought furniture from the his store. My first purchase from him was a couch. We custom ordered a sectional and one of the pieces was too large to fit into our house (I guess I should have measured beforehand). We really thought we were going to be stuck having a really nice couch in the garage. However at no extra charge, Steve reordered the sectional and it was delivered to us for free when it came in (which was a while, but then again it was a custom piece). Since then we have bought 2 recliners, an entertainment center and a mattress. I ended up being unhappy with my mattress choice and Steve is letting me exchange it. So, as far as being an "easy" customer, I don't have a good track record. Despite this, Steve has been nothing but friendly and helpful. He remembers his customers, always has a smile and delivers the highest level of customer service. The prices are very reasonable (top of the line mattress is under $1500) and the delivery charges (if any) are less than half of the big stores.
