Goldies Flavored Soft Serve — Attraction in Washington Township

Goldies is located in a unique location. It's in the end of a building that you would typically find a doctor's office or a dentist or maybe your tax accountant. One window has been converted into a serving window so this is a takeout only place. I was there on a slow evening so there was no wait or lines but I can see where it would get congested on a busy summer evening.

Service was fast, staff friendly, location easy to find, parking is limited but in the evenings you can park at neighboring establishments.

They offer a large variety I think. 47 different flavors of mixed in flavored ice cream, along with what appears to be chocolate and vanilla served straight out of the machine. All of these are soft serve. They also offer the typical sundays and other embellished ice cream treats. I also noticed that they serve icees.

Prices were a little high for the product and serving size what you would expect, no "wow look at the size of that" here. I will say that when they made our first chocolate cone what appeared to be the manager or owner did not appreciate the size and ask the employee to remake it which was impressive to me.

The ice cream didn't taste as creamy as some of the others with mixed in flavor ice cream places in the Dayton area. I would go back but probably would not make it a destination more of a "if it's close and convenient I...

Editing the review to add that this is a place that absolutely will test your patience and is not for anyone who gets frustrated by inefficienct food service. They have one window that serves for ordering and pick up and only one can be done at a time. They also can't really call out people's names easily so everyone crowds around the front to be able to hear. It's extremely challenging on busy days!

We love Goldies! The long lines are worth the wait on those hot summer days. Our dogs absolutely love the pup cups and they give enough for leftovers! They have so many flavor options that they blend into the base of chocolate or vanilla. Huge sizes as well, a kids is plenty for me!

The only downside is sometimes the service isn't the best. It seems like young workers and if they do not have supervision, it's a little rude, slow, and distracted. Only happened a few times and we go often. But it's a stark difference from the usual and worth noting that maybe 1 of 5 visits has some not so...

The ice cream was okay. I've had better soft serve. It seemed like they are mixing syrups for their flavors but I could be wrong. We ordered 4 flavors- coffee, white chocolate, watermelon and pineapple. Coffee and watermelon were good but the other two weren't. You could barely taste the pineapple flavor in the pineapple soft serve. I'm gonna give them a pass on white chocolate because we tried at a different place and it didn't taste good either. So it might just be the flavor. You don't get to try the flavors here. The price point is good though, you get a lot of ice cream for the price you pay and it's cheap to begin with.
