Don’t expect your order to be right - they mess something up every time!
We ordered a kids meal enchilada. Nowhere on the menu does it say what kind of enchilada so we asked if we could do a veggie enchilada (note: they sell an adult veggie enchilada with onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, and mushrooms). The woman on the phone either didn’t know their menu or is incapable of understanding the simple ask of a veggie enchilada. She immediately started talking about fajitas. We saidveghie enchiladas just like the adult ones. Now, if they had said they couldn’t do that - fine. But she said they could.
Instead when we arrived at the location to pick up the food, we checked and of course it was wrong. Instead of remaking it, we had to wait forever for them to throw some mushrooms on top. There were no tomatoes, the woman taking the order had just told them fajita veggies.
We also ordered the xango with ice cream. It did not come with ice cream. It was just….missing.
We also ordered a shredded beef tostada. It came with two chunks of extremely tough beef with no flavor. My mom orders this every time we get Mexican for the family - they’ve never not shredded it before (though what comes on it changes every time we order, there’s no consistency).
They’ve also started cheapening out on the chips. You get chips and salsa with your order. If you order queso, guac, etc. you used to get two bags of chips, but now you only get one.
This place has gone downhill so much over the last year. This used to be a go to place for takeout, but the consistent mistakes are tiresome. Every time we order they’ve forgotten something or just plain gave us...
Read moreNot great. I didn’t read any of the other reviews but here is mine. Host wasn’t pleasant, seemed as though something was going on in her life that she needed to take care of as I only saw her on her phone and her manerism was non-existent. Ordered a few “house made lime margaritas”. We got store bought margarita mix with some ice. It was awful and difficult to choke down. Dinner came and it was lacking flavor. I ordered the fajitas vegetarian. My meal was made from all frozen vegetables. Nothing tasted fresh, only chewy and lacked flavor. All I could think about was, “I wish I could just take it home with me and add the spices it needs to enjoy this”. I very well could have but thats not what we go to restaurants for. We go to enjoy someone else’s cooking, so I don’t have to. My husband did the combo thing, and ordered a bunch a different things he wasn’t too excited about finishing up. My son who is 4 had the shredded beef taco and said it was good. First time he had had beef as I am allergic too it never cook with it. Server was terribly awkward and barely came by. He also seemed to be having a bad day. Never checked on us, and Our check came 20 min later after we had our last bite. He too was non existent, and never once appreciated us, by saying things like, thank you, have a nice day, etc. By the time we left, host was still deep into her phone. Anyhow, I would recommend trying to find another place if this is your first time going here. Many many other choices along the road. We have been to several Mexican style restaurants and this was by far the worst since...
Read moreThis is a most unremarkable restaurant. Nothing was bad...but NOTHING was good. Staff always seemed to be on the move, but the restaurant wasn't busy, so it was curious that we always seemed to be waiting on something - 10 minutes for host to come to the front, 10-15 minutes for our check, etc. Our cheese dip appetizer showed up after we were eating our entrees. The good news on service is the staff was friendly.
The disappointing part was the food - everything seemed bland. The cheese dip was watery. The beans seemed to have no seasoning (visibly or taste-wise), just a dry mush. I had shrimp "a la diabla" (the non-spicy version) and the sauce was okay, but again little flavor. Wife said her chorizo/hash meal (I forget the name) was pretty dry and flavorless; I tried a bite and agreed with her. Lastly, the sweet tea was weak.
The blandness of our lunch concerned my wife and I so much we thought we had Covid, so we ended up getting tested (negative, btw). Our dinner was flavorful, too, so it really was just a bland lunch.
Again, nothing was bad, but nothing was good. Altogether, a very ho-hum...
