Usually my favorite goodwill but today not so much, I asked to see a coach bag which was 40$, I asked for it to be behind the counter and then came up later try to authenticate the purse as I didn’t want to spend 40$ on a fake purse. The older lady with grey hair stayed by me at the register while I tried to authenticate the purse, I ignored her huffing and puffing and then she asked if I even wanted it, I looked up to see her kind of waving her hands and looking frustrated, she said “if I didn’t want it I had to put it back in the case” and kinda laughed like I was taking sooo much of her time. I said I just wanted to look it up a little more and as I said that she sighed ignorantly loud, so I said she could just put it behind the counter because I could tell she was in a rush. She then snatches it from the counter and puts it behind the counter. I realized she wanted to go on break because she grabs her lunch box and water and heads to the back. I didn’t realize that the need to take a break was SO important that your rude to a customer; I have two retail jobs I work 6 days a week at and even when I haven’t eaten all morning I haven’t taken it out on a customer.    Read moreMy wife just came home from this place extremely upset. Apparently she wasn't allowed to return a few items while having receipt in hand. Nicole H and two of the girls made my wife feel like a criminal saying she was using the wrong receipt and they can't accept that one for returns. It's kinda hard to do business with a place when they tell you the receipt they gave you can't be used for returns. Also the dismissive attitude this woman had towards my wife is really disgusting. And to top it all off they got both the clothes back and they kept my wife's money. In my world that's called stealing. I think these women need to read the beginnings of where goodwill originated from and see that it was based on the dignity of all human beings and the worth of displaying compassion on all said human beings as well. They didn't do very well at either of these things today concerning my wife and I just find...
Read moreI went to the Goodwill Store and Donation Center last weekend to drop off some clothing and shoe donations. This was my first time at this location, and I didn’t go inside the store. I went around back to the donation area, where two gentlemen greeted me and helped with the bags.
Both times I visited that day, the staff was friendly and helpful. I noticed how carefully they were sorting and arranging everything, which made me feel confident that they take good care of what’s given to them. Many of the items I donated were still new with tags, so it felt good to see how thoughtfully they handled everything.
Lastly, the only reason I’m giving it four stars is because I haven’t been inside the store yet, only the back where donations are dropped off. If I ever go inside the store, I’ll adjust my rating...
