Just got a call, took 30 days because they had the wrong number, liars. Basically the Doctor lied and falsified my chart and I have no no way of proving he lied or provided terrible health Care. He misdiagnosed me twice and the nurse manager that called me said he wrote something different in my chart than what I was saying. Nothing they can do about copays because that is a system thing. By the way, your would think the nurse manager would need more than my name on the phone to confirm who I am and discuss private medical information, but apparently she does not. Also when I addressed being treated (mistreated) in a hallway and being treated (mistreated) in the lobby, the nurse manager said that is why they are building (WITH A CHUCKLE...AS IF SEEINGS NEEDLES ON A DIRTY CHAIR AND ALMOST PEEING MYSELF AFTER WAITING ALONE FOR HOURS IS FUNNY?) When I asked if this was it for my complaint, anything else I could do, I was told no. Copays are a system thing they can't do anything. I asked what recourse a person has when a doctor doesn't do his job right, provided poor care, and lied in my chart, and I was told to contact my insurance company. Way to pass the buck and not look into a serious matter. They rushed to help a guy that was going into rehab that night, even though he took meth, herioin, Adderall, and 4 other drugs for a total of 7 so he could be checked into rehab. He wasn't sick, he just needed them to say to rehab he was ok. He had 6 nurses, 3 techs, 2 doctors, and a drug rehab specialist, and was out in two hours because they rushed him so he could go to a rehab , yet I sat there for 10 hours, nearly peed myself, had to change in a hallway, and got misdiagnosed. And to top it off this guy on 7 drugs was pacing back and forth next to me talking to himself, appearing to be dangerous, but they left him without a guard.
So the doctor lied, changed the diagnosis twice after he told me something else in the ER. The nurse manager confirmed he put something different in my chart than what he told me.
So I just got an notification to email them as a response to my post. Are you kidding me? I emailed you 5 days ago right after I posted my review. It seems you are just replying to the Google reviews to appear like you actually care, but you have not responded back to my email from 5 days ago. So please stop leaving fake feedback when you have not responded to an email I sent about this exact issue and post. It is a shame I can't put a screenshot up here to prove you have had 5 days to reply.
Had the same DR. Wetjen in the ER for the 2nd time. First time I was seen there I was misdiagnosed by him while he treated me in the waiting area /lobby because they were not taking anyone into the back in fear of giving the flu to others???? Fortunately Dr. I did not have shingles as you stated, it was a sinus infection.
This time after waiting over an hour (which is super short for this ER). He saw me for less than 3 minutes and sent me for an MRI. Sadly he can't think for himself and he is dismissive of patient concerns. Reading the MRI results and me still not being able to walk after two bags of morphine and steroids he basically said it should go away in a week. It is a muscle pull he said. No further testing, and not being able to walk not because of pain, but because my spine won't let me stand straight. I physically cannot sit because it compresses my spine. Having the same issue 5 years ago requiring surgery.
He just made up his mind and wouldn't check anything else, it is normal...we all have back pain...it should start to ease up on a week. Then he prescribes two days worth of pain meds and a steroid pack. When confronted he didn't care and offered to admit me when I called him on this so a specialist could check me another day.
Great job settling for someone else reading a report and you not going to any extra lengths to actually help a patient.
Two bags of morphine and I am still in terrible pain, you must be right,muscle...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEDITED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST This hospital is a complete disgrace! They donāt answer the phones, and their attention to patient care is severely lacking. Over a span of just five days, I was contacted by three different staff members all asking the same question about my fatherās cardiologistāspecifically, how to contact them. Do they not have access to basic tools like Google? More concerning is that no one seems to communicate with each other, leading to utter disorganization.
Meanwhile, my father has been left in limbo, being shuffled from one room to another, with no meaningful care or progress being made. How can this possibly be called ācareā? Heās had to remind the staff to bring him meals, and shockingly, there was a three-day period where he didnāt even see a doctor. This level of incompetence and neglect is unacceptable.
*EDIT * Iāve returned to update my initial review, and just when you think things couldnāt get worseāthey did. Since 2018, my father has faced multiple health crises, but his mind is still sharp as a knife. Itās unsettling to think how this hospital treats patients, especially those who canāt advocate for themselves. My father was reduced to yelling and begging for basic care. After an entire week, the staff still hadnāt contacted his cardiologist at the VA to approve an MRI. They claimed it could take up to a week, so I emailed his doctor myself. Within an hour, he called me, confirming that no one had even attempted to reach him, and mentioned all modern pacemakers are MRI-compatible. He then quickly provided the necessary documentation, and suddenly the MRI was ready.
When they took my father down for the MRI, he was eating lunch and they didn't want to wait for him to finish eating, my father told them, āIf he could wait a week, they could wait ten minutes.ā They gave him a strong Ativan shot before the MRI, even though he was frail and had just eatenāa risky decision. He called me afterward, groggy, and said heād wait for results to determine the next steps. Later, at 7:15 p.m., the hospital called, asking if I was coming to pick him up. I was confused, as we didnāt have the MRI results, and he might still need surgery. The sarcastic nurse sensed my confusion and sniped, āYou sound confused.ā
Meanwhile, my sister arrived, and we realized that no one had even told my father he was supposed to be discharged. He told them he wouldnāt leave without a medical team discussing his results with him. The following day, after I demanded to speak to someone in charge, the coordinator finally got on the phone and tried blaming my father, saying the medical team had spoken to him the previous evening and told him he could leave. I pointed out that theyād given him a sedative so strong it knocked him out. Why would they deliver important news like that to someone groggy and frail without informing his family?
Finally, a doctor got on the line, and I cut them off when they tried to place blame on my father and the VA. After everything we went through, I told them that any excuse now was just a sad attempt to avoid accountability. Frankly, the VA is a 4-star hotel compared to this place. I wouldnāt trust this hospital with a sick frog, let alone a loved one. Weāre seriously considering legal action for the mental anguish they caused. My belief is they kept him there to bleed the VA for moneyāthereās no other explanation for the chaos...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you want to voluntarily/involuntarily unalive yourself this is the place for it! My first time ever goi my to this hospital because it was closest to me. I was dehydrated an FB need to get to the closest hospital. Intake: 11/26/2024 I was immediately taken into intake to do all screenings/blood work/urine sample During my wait for the results, the nurse in emergency intake was very unprofessional. Unlike another hospital/urgent care with walls to separate and secure the privacy of your condition with a curtain to enter. Itās an open setting where you can see and hear everyoneās condition. Violation of privacy! HIPPA! I could barely make it into the hospital and was taken for several test. Prior to the nurse asking me for a urine sample I request for water, because I could barely breathe, and due to the dehydration I was very parched. I was denied water although, still asked to submit the urine sample. During intake the nurse of (Philippine decent) asked me several times while I was in intake in front of everyone āDo you eat at homeā because of the small frame body Iāve had all my life. UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I was admitted and take to a room after 2hrs. I then was hooked to an IV for fluids. Over the course of 24hrs with several bags of IV fluid they began to mix it with potassium/magnesium bags. As they were giving me the IV fluid and potassium they took approximately 40+ tubes of blood from me! On 11/27/2024 when asked how was I feeling I told them better. I assumed at that point of running the same test over and over I would eventually going home. Prior to me going home my monitor for the IV was alerting it was empty. I called for my nurse Shaima she observed it was empty she said sheāll be right back sheās going to go a get another bag. She didnāt return until 45min later and apologized that she took her break. Another nurse had raised concern hearing the monitor going off, and called her to come to the room. 11/26/2024 I requested from overnight staff to take a shower as the gel from the ultra sound was still on me/ I was on my cycle. I was denied to take a shower after asking multiple times. 11/27/2024 prior to me having to discharge myself and remove the IV needle that was in my arm for over 24hrs that had punctured the bandage and bled through my sweat shirt. I was told from the doctor and several nursing staff members that they was keeping me because my potassium levels were fluctuating. It raised concern to me to ask to review the result, and I was denied to review the results they were claiming were low. I asked for management, to view the results , and the amount of blood drawn and procedures werenāt accurate to the amount of blood drawn from me with 24hrs. I then asked for the IV to be removed and he continued try to talk to me instead of assisting my request. As a Certified medical assistant, I has place gloves on and remove the IV from my own arm. I was bruised severely on my hands and arms from the multiple sticks.
Iāve never been to a hospital that ask do you have any marks/tattoos or scars(multiple times) And Iāve never been to an hospital were the doctor comes to speak with you and says everything is ok but ask of family past medical history! They were trying to kill me! Too much potassium can kill you, and furthermore mixed in the same IV as magnesium.
Medical malpractice: The same IV in my...
