Royal Cardz — Attraction in Washington Township

After hearing a lot of good things about this store, I decided to go here for the first time, The store itself is set up really nice. It's a great layout and so easy to navigate. Although I am not a Phillies or Eagles fan, I thought it was really cool set up and display that they had for the Eagles and Phillies it really showed Philly Sports Pride. With that said, the customer service was beyond lacking and made me very disappointed. I first called the store to see if I would be able to go there and try to sell some baseball cards that a friend wanted me to look into selling for them. I'm not a card collector Im not really familiar with the hobby , with that said the person on the phone was very nice and helpful. Just told me not to bring too much in since it was closer to closing because I called about 6:50 and they close at 8 which I totally understood. They were the only nice thing about my experience customer service wise. Although with that said I was put on hold to talk to the person about the card and the person that originally picked up the phone seemed like they were in a bad mood over the phone when they told me to hold on they're gonna transfer my call to the person I spoke with for the cards. My experience was not good upon arriving at the store. I felt like the associate that "helped" me upon my arrival talked down to me, as well as treated me like a child and was honestly very condescending. And that made me very angry. Because really I don't know much about cards, but you don't have to be condescending or rude because you know more than I do. I brought in a few versus the many cards that I had because I understood they were closing within the hour and the person on the phone told me, preferably not to bring as many in because they usually go through each of the cards one at a time which I totally understand And I was OK with that, but then the person helping me stated that I could've brought them all in and whoever told me that over the phone didn't know what they were talking about. Which in all honesty the rate the associate that helped me went through the cards I honestly could've brought all the cards in granted all he did was quickly look at the cards and move onto the next ones. He didn't go through each card like I thought he would Which I do understand he is an expert versus me, but for somebody new to card collecting and stuff, I wanted to learn about the cards what they look at and stuff like that, but the associate was just very rude, short and acted like I was bothering him more than anything else.I honestly after about the first minute of dealing with him and his attitude I wanted to get out of there as soon as I could because of how I was treated. I wanted to hopefully learn some things even if the cards weren't worth a lot its a Cards store if the associate treated me better I would've wanted to look around and see what they look for in cards and stuff like that and maybe I would've left purchasing some cards of my own because it was a hobby. I was actually thinking about getting into, but I didn't know what to look for what sellers look for or anything like that. I thought I could learn a little bit since I don't know card collecting like that but the way this associate went about customer service. I knew I wasn't going to, I just felt like the associate really did not care and then to tell me that whoever I spoke to on the phone didn't know what they were talking about felt so unprofessional to someone who is visiting the store for the very first time. So for somebody who is hoping to learn something and have a good customer experience from my visit I did not get that and I am very disappointed after all the great things that I've heard...

What can I say about this Shop… welp if you wanna pay scalper pricing go here, this shop sends workers to Walmarts and Targets to buy product and then mark up just like you could buy online. SMH but anyway this shop also has piss poor customer service if that’s what you wanna call the service. I’ve personally tried to sell my Cards to this shop nice cards not what you could find in your couch cushions type cards nice cards. Rookie cards for sports, pokemon, and even one piece and because of who I used to know I was treated less than a customer. They never have a set guy to look at all types of cards instead… if that guy is not there they will completely turn you away AGAIN and go on to say I won’t run a Comp. I think this is due to a lacking of education in cards(so a random guy just stands there and says which cards do you want buddy and even if you tell them what you want they have no idea what your asking them for.) but back to selling your items to them. This gentleman states that he’s doing the community a service by buying your cards Again just back and forth banter. I ask for Joe the manager. He comes out and stated he isn’t buying those cards even though the guy before you had done a similar transaction but I digress. Moral or my story folks is just because it’s close I’d drive a little further to the next closest shop if you want a nice experience. I had a cool time at first but realize that the person in charge was very talkative. I was interested at first but their pricing is very high per booster pack. Almost $10 to $15 more. I will say I bit on the idea because nowhere else will have this set. I have been shopping here for a minute and realize that I have never pulled any good cards from them ever. The reason as to why I mention this is because the person behind the counter mention that their job was to open booster packs to pull the rare cards… when inquiring about a certain set, he mentioned that he pulled a certain card from that set and that you still have a good chance to pull something good…. How would he know this?? I soon realize that they measure all of the booster packs. I literally saw them measuring booster packs. Whatever you see in the glass box are all duds!!! They measure them before they put them in their booster boxes and state that they just opened the box and shuffled all the packs. Do not buy any packs...
