Salon Giavanna Marie — Attraction in Washington Township

This place came off super nice and friendly, never been here before, i had high hopes. I had scheduled an appt with Olivia. I loved her work online and was super excited for her to do my hair. The appt started out as a “consult.” I really was looking for her opinion on things and what she thought would work with my hair but she really gave no input. I had told her how i specifically wanted my money piece done and she said “Okay we can do that.” It came out the complete opposite. Before i get into that i just want to say i’ve never been threw so much pain by a stylist before. This girl brushed my hair wet without conditioner MULTIPLE times and she was not gentle with it. As she was unfoiling my bleached hair she got bleach on my face about 3 times. She flung my bleached hair on my face twice then she touched the side of my face with bleach on her hand. I was noticeably wiping my face off and she didn’t say a word about it. Then she squirted some of the brown gloss or glaze (idk what it was) on my face and said, “Oh did i get it in your eye?” Really not that concerned and i said, “No just on my cheek…” She didn’t offer me a tissue or anything to wipe it off. It’s freezing in there and they know it! I left this place with body aches and a headache. When you go to a salon it’s supposed to be a “self care” type of experience.. So anyways when she sat me down in the chair and i saw my money piece (wet) i noticed it looked patchy. So i pointed it out to her and said, “Wait does this look patchy? Sorry..” and she, “What? Let me blow dry you.” So she spun me away from the mirror and kept it like that the entire time. She dried my hair and IMMEDIATELY curled it without showing me my hair straight or reassuring me my money piece was in fact not patchy.. It 100% was patchy even with dry hair. She took pics of my hair, then walked me to the register. $220 later for a painful patchy job. I’m sure she does a great job any other time but i was literally her only appt that day, there was no excuse for her to not be willing to fix it for me. Not a great impression for a first time client. I told her thank you, i love the color and left because i didn’t know what else to say. Later on that day i found another hair stylist to fix what she messed up. Never...

My mom and I both got haircuts/styles today with Mary and Sam. My mom already had an appointment with Mary, and I REALLY needed a haircut. I called 2 hours prior to my mom’s appointment, just to see on the off chance that they might have an opening for me around the same time. Gina was super sweet and got me an appointment with Sam at the same time as my mom. I was so surprised and thrilled they could make that happen. The ladies here are amazing. So friendly/welcoming, and highly skilled. Sam was so patient with my 1000 questions, and gave me EXACTLY what I had asked for. I showed her a picture, and I literally walked out with that hair! She even took the time to hot curl iron it for me. I am just so happy.

Mary did a beautiful job on my mom’s hair, too. She got exactly what she hoping for, if not more!

Also, the prices here are extremely reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised to hear the end price, expecting it to be way higher.

Every girl we met was so friendly, sweet, helpful, and knowledgeable. We will DEFINITELY be returning to this salon!!

I came to see Claudia (7nov24) for a color & cut. We chatted non-stop through our entire appointment & had so much fun. So much that we forgot to cut my hair! My hair came out beautifully, but I felt like it washed me out. So when I came back this week (13nov) for my haircut, we touched up my money piece & made it whiter. Last week, we had discussed another color for "next time," so we added that, too & I really feel like myself again. It's been a while & I missed me. Claudia has made me a convert. I'm overjoyed she's such an incredible stylist & that now she's mine! One suggestion I have is to turn a corner into a photography spot with lights so no one is searching for light for their hair pics. My only request is that you update your music. Ev1 that works there is young & surely they'd enjoy their own tastes shuffling through while they work. So my suggestion is for ev1 to add songs to a playlist.
