I been eyeballing this farm for quite a while since I found their Instagram account , curdiologist. They do ship their products online but I wanted to personally visit the town where the farm is located . And goodness the area is breathtakingly beautiful. Upon entering, I was greeted by a sweet alpaca looking at me as I exit out of my vehicle 🥺 So, I went on a shopping spree : • Cheeses: 1. Somerset: nutty flavor but taste similar to parmesan 2. Valley thunder: cheddar The shop even will give you a sample to try before you buy ! • Goat Yogurt : 1. coconut Mango 2. peach mango It’s so rich , smooth and creamy! My plus that it doesn’t have any hormones added • Kalamata olive with Greek blend and herbs. (They even make olive oil ! If you come back for a refill in their product you get a discount price !!) • Clover honey, so tasty and runny! This taste amazing with toast .( great for my allergies too) •Home made red pepper with mozzarella ravioli •And black truffle butter, the smell and taste is so heavenly! Now that I bought the items I will definitely order from Valley Shepard creamery online to save the trip 😜

The tour was ok but I'd say there was room to grow. It relies a little too much on the video they created and basically any employee could run the tour. It would have definitely enhanced the experience if the person doing the tour was super knowledgeable and passionate about cheese making so that we could have asked more specific questions. Although then I'd expect it to cost a bit more so for the price it really was good. The cave was not as visitor friendly as I'd expected, I wished the windows weren't so foggy and dirty and maybe some more labels so we knew what we were looking at exactly. The fogging may have been because I was there on a really cold day and obviously the cave is warmer. The cheese is super good by the way. It's nice you can try stuff before buying because there was a couple I wouldn't have thought to purchase of the girl behind the counter hadn't offered a sample when she heard us discussing it. Their store has a good selection of other local products as well.

I had a wonderful experience here with my two kids (1.5 and 4 y/o) on the spring lamb tour. We learned a lot about how the farm operates and enjoyed spending some time with the lambs and goat kids. And of course, the cheese plate was the perfect way to end the experience! I also ordered some cheese for a corporate event and they were very friendly and easy to work with. I've been telling everyone I know to visit this place! If you don't live nearby, they do sell at some farmer's markets like Duke Farms and some in NYC.

Wooowww! For someone such as myself who is lactose intolerant this place is surely the land of milk and honey Moses spoke about to his people. This place is an invaluable asset to it's community by providing the highest quality sheep and goat products available to man kind. This state of the art facility is churning out super high quality delectible gourmet, cheeses, yogurts , and specialty items made from their sheep and goat farm. I don't know how their yogurt isn't in every store in NJ it's simply the absolute best I've ever had , it's like ice cream it's too good, and their cheese is award winning of which you can sample when you go there. They do tours on the weekends of the facility if your interested in learning about the best milk products in America. There prices are great too, wish I lived by...
