I had the pleasure of visiting Martha Lake Park in Lynwood during the summer, and I must say, it is an exceptional location for a leisurely afternoon stroll. The park offers an array of activities that cater to all age groups. The tranquil waters of Martha Lake create a perfect setting for families, with children reveling in delightful water play. Moreover, the park provides excellent opportunities for boating and kayaking enthusiasts, with dedicated areas that ensure a seamless experience.
One standout feature of the park is its designated section for kayaking, underscoring the attention to detail and organization that the park management has put in place. Read moreIt's a very nice oasis in the Lynnwood area, but it also can be very very crowded.
The main goal of the visit was to take my grandson fishing on free fishing day, but unfortunately, the lily pads were causing major problems and then the fish decided today was not the day to eat bait. Still very enjoyable to be out in the sun and enjoying the gorgeous weather.
The main beach area is small, but it looked very nice.
The biggest problem with the park is that parking is extremely limited. If you're fortunate enough to get a parking space, consider yourself lucky. More importantly, don't threaten people who are just unloading vehicles and then...
Read moreGreat Lake! Parking is far away though so walking to the lake is pretty far (just keep that in mind if you have lots of things to bring along lol) the park is great! And close to parking lot, there is actually two playgrounds, one near the parking lot and one near the lake. The lake is a lot of fun! Great swimming area for all ages! There is a nice rope to tell you where it starts getting deep. Small area of Sand to build sandcastles, and a dock to jump off of! Great place for families, there is also a shelter with a bbq. They also offer free life jackets to use which is great! Clean bathrooms and the place itself is kept up very nice and tidy! There is also a little water spicket which is nice for cleaning off feet and Sandy toys! Huge grassy lawn for sitting, sunbathing , frisbee, etc! It does get packed in the summer so I recommend getting...
