MEDSTAR GEORGETOWN HOSPITAL If I could give you and Dr.Marcus Noel 5000 stars, I would’nt hesitate.
My appointment with Dr. Noel went well as expected. I've been seeing him since August of 2024. Dr. Noel clinical study Medical Assistant Sarah Pinhiero have been nothing short of amazing. There has never been a time I called or email Sarah in regards to a question for her or Dr. Noel, a prescription I needed to get refilled , an appointment that needed to be made where as though she didn’t respond to me with a phone call or email before she left work. If you knew the demands of her job, you will ask yourself how do she find the time. It’s just not possible. She’s Awesome!
I also want to thank Dr. Noel GI Oncologist Social Worker Marissa Quigg. Marissa is amazing. She have played an exceptional role in my life these past few months. Her impact does not show up in a statistical category. Only with results. I will vote for Marissa if she was running for any position in the higher ranking of American Government. I believe the American people will get the best results under her leadership. She fights for the underdog .
Dr. Noel goes out of his way to make sure all my questions are answered. He listens to my medical concerns and the challenges that those concerns have placed on my personal life. He make necessary changes to my treatment based on the results of my lab work and how my physical body is adjusting to the treatment of my chemo medication. Great Doctors like Dr. Noel addresses patients health concerns, rather that just telling you what to do. He wants to make sure you and hinn are on the same page and comfortable.
In conclusion, Thank you Dr. Noel for the humanity you stand on. Which consist of the love and caring ways you have for your patients, the ethics that you practice your profession with and the high character of the man...
Read moreEarly in 2022 I was diagnosed with peritoneal carcinomatosis. After a major operation in March at the Medstar Washington Hospital, I was assigned to Dr. Louis Weiner of the Lombardi Center as my medical oncologist. Since May I have been on chemotherapy and anticipate completing the course by December. Dr. Weiner and his team have been consistently attentive and caring, while at the same time being completely transparent about the medical details and the scientific rationale for the various forms of treatment. I have had good treatment from everyone on the team: the receptionists at the front door of the hospital; Nurse Bobbie Khan, who coordinates the long list of patients; the receptionists at the Lombardi Center and the infusion center; the doctors who inserted the port; the nursing technical staff who clean the chemotherapy bays and assign patients to them; the nurses who administer the chemotherapy; the staff taking the CT scans and PET-CT scans; the radiologists interpreting the scans; and no doubt others. None of these jobs are easy. Sometimes their tasks are made more challenging when patients are in pain, or depressed, or anxious. My wife and I are very grateful for the team's consistent good humour and their devotion to their...
Read moreI spent hours working with the nurse navigator, Preethi, to gather and forward my records. However, when I saw the doctor, he claimed he did not have them.
I am deeply concerned about the cleanliness and overall condition of the oncology office during my visit on 9/8/25. I observed several issues that do not meet basic infection control standards, including:
Food and sticky residue on the floor in the blood lab
Open bags of chips in the blood lab where the door says "no food allowed"
A dirty sink in the exam room
Visible dirt on the exam table pedestal
As an oncology patient, infection prevention is absolutely critical. These conditions create unnecessary risks for patients, many of whom are immunocompromised.
In addition, my HIPAA information was discussed loudly enough in the waiting room for others to hear. In the blood lab, the staff member did not communicate with me, applied a tourniquet, flicked my vein with bare fingers, and inserted the needle abruptly.
This experience left me feeling unsafe and disrespected. I feel terrible for any patient who has to undergo treatment in these conditions. After this visit, I would rather live out my days on my own terms than continue care in such an...
