The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the premises are dog friendly, and the building itself is kinda neat.
We were actually waved down and invited into the building by a park ranger who wanted to pet our dog. Once we got inside we were invited to cool down in front of a large fan, play checkers, and talk about local DC politics. I cannot say enough nice things about the rangers who were there and I wish I could recall their names, they deserve praise. They were knowledgeable about the area but didn't force a message down your throat if you didn't want to talk about a mill.
Personally, I didn't find the mill that interesting, but the staff really made it worth a trip. Looking forward to stopping by next time I'm walking...

I sincerely hope the District of Columbia "DC" will favor preserving a piece of Nature at its heart versus more encroachments into this preserve.
