Peirce Mill — Attraction in Washington

The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the premises are dog friendly, and the building itself is kinda neat.

We were actually waved down and invited into the building by a park ranger who wanted to pet our dog. Once we got inside we were invited to cool down in front of a large fan, play checkers, and talk about local DC politics. I cannot say enough nice things about the rangers who were there and I wish I could recall their names, they deserve praise. They were knowledgeable about the area but didn't force a message down your throat if you didn't want to talk about a mill.

Personally, I didn't find the mill that interesting, but the staff really made it worth a trip. Looking forward to stopping by next time I'm walking...

"Rock Creek", And "Peirce Mill" location included, is a place of sheer beauty.

I sincerely hope the District of Columbia "DC" will favor preserving a piece of Nature at its heart versus more encroachments into this preserve.

Beautiful place that seems to take you back in time. I was hoping to take a tour of the inside but it was closed. Although i was disappointed I got to sit down and watch the stream and enjoy the moment. There are also some informational boards that give you historical facts.
