My husband and I applied for the visa together! The overall experience at the Hungarian Embassy was very positive.

Scheduling: We reached out via email to schedule a visa appointment. The wait time for the appointment itself was lengthy (3 - 4 weeks) - lengthier than we anticipated.

Facilities: There was convenient parking available directly opposite the embassy, which was a big plus.The office was welcoming and clean! They have a small toy section for children! We were very impressed!

Staff: Everyone at the embassy was welcoming and professional. The staff seemed well-prepared for our appointment and efficiently processed all our documents.

An absolute disaster. Worst embassy ever. It takes several days to schedule an appointment because they are asking 1 question per email, so before you get an appointment scheduled you will have a long chain of emails. If you plan to apply for a multiple entry long term tourist visa, don’t even try, they will fool and scam you and waste your time and money. These incompetent people think that you need to have hotels and flights booked 3 years in advance if you want a 3 year multiple entry. Have you heard of that non-sense anywhere in the world? These people is a shame of Hungary. They are killing any desire to visit this country ever again and invest in cultural exchange and support their economy. Great experience. Renata was courteous and efficient. She was friendly and went past helping me and my family get my Hungarian documents renewed and citizenships verified as she provided further advice and info on other matters. Booking the appointments over the phone was also easy and the gentleman I spoke with several times was helpful and informative. I don’t know why anyone would give this embassy a low review.
