Hi im TooTallTom and im gonna tell you my rodeo story with gymit 🫡long story short been with them since 2015 when they were far away from were they are now, brought and recommended this gym to multiple ppl to enlarge their customer circle over the years,i had a painful a surgery last year however recovered quickly and started working out right after i finally decided to do some travelling abroad U.S,on December 3 rd i took off to a trip to CR came back on 12 th of December unaware of my on going membership,i simply forgot to freeze it (human mistake)cause i run freshly opened up small moving company going through divorce and running it all by myself, and yes indeed there is a lot i have to learn and observe in order to set it up the right way, however soon (3days) after the trip to CR i was going back home to Europe (havent been home for 5 years ) so i was super excited and again while running around and buying all the Christmas presents and souvenirs i completely forgot to freeze my membership again, long story short while being in Europe i had another laser eye correction surgery after which is not recommended to do any kinds of sport related activities for a month,i brought all the required documentation to prove that however no one gave even one single damn to look at it🤷♂️Kyle one of the coaches even asked so are you on collections now? When i said why would i be on collections i never cancelled the payment through my bank and was hoping to get credit for the period of time i wasn’t present at the gym cause there was no log ins on my account the whole time, answer was pretty straight forward thats not how we do bussiness. That was probably the last drop for my patience after all these years of contributing for the wellness of this gym.Moral of the story folks it aint local gym anymore for local Watertonians they do only business so be aware of ppl, also be aware of influencers filming themselves u got to watch their tripods and cameras and other bs.Humanity and kindness is unknown for this gym including stuff members however it was a nice long marathon with u guys pleasure to do business with ya! TooTallTom is out🫡Peace✌️
Onto addition to that just got charged additional 50 bucks for who tha heck knows what probably for bad review that i left be aware of this fraudulent institution like many comments down below are saying they are charging...
Read moreWhen I joined GymIt I was super excited about the boxing classes. As I'm a member of BSC I only joined GymIt because of the Everybody Fight boxing classes. The first 6 weeks was amazing. We had George Foreman teaching on Thursdays morning, Eliza teaching on Mondays morning and the schedule seemed to be pretty good. However, right before the flooding they changed the schedule eliminating EBG Bags and Beats, which was SUPER fun and both the instructors mentioned above no longer work there. I feel bad with what happened, but there should've been a better communication for letting customers know of what happened. I never received an email, instead I had to go to facebook for updates. What about those people that don't use facebook? Seemed a bit annoying having to go the facebook just to look for updates. After announcing they would be able to open boxing classes only Friday after the opening, I planned to go to the 6am as I always do. Called Thursday around 5pm and was told that classes were going to be run as usual. Woke up 4:30am for my 6am class, and when I showed up there they said it was actually not ready. Seriously? What's wrong with the lack of communication of GymIt? I rarely use facebook and don't want to be checking every day for an update. I signed up for that class and should've, at least, received an email stating there wasn't going to be a class. Seriously, how difficult is it to check who signed up for the class, shoot them an email saying there's not going to be a class? I've never used the equipments, shower, or other areas of the gym. I only go for boxing and I really enjoy my time there. Nice instructors. I simply LOVE Todd Paris's class. He's skilled and an amazing instructor. Omar is really good, although his classes could be more fun. It's too serious sometimes, and can be somewhat boring compared to Todd, Eliza, George and Andy. Andy is fun and knows what he's doing. 3 stars because they should bring back bags and beats and improve their way of...
Read moreI tried my best to like this gym, I truly did. Worked out here for 6 months and finally decided that this is not the facility for me.
Pros:
it’s a gym with equipment has a good selection of machines / free weights.
Cons:
Maintenance is shoddy at best.
machines will be broken for several months at a time.
none of the equipment is bolted to the ground / floor. This is a serious oversight as it’s literally dangerous.. I have almost toppled over while doing pull-ups. (Don’t believe me, just try to push or rock any piece of equipment in there)
the locker rooms , particularly the showers are just nasty (speaking for the mens, although I’m sure the women’s are the same).
the shower curtains in the mens shower area are the cheapest thinest pieces of plastic I have ever seen in my life! And they rip every 2 weeks.. what a waste of money, not to mention after they rip they are not replaced for several weeks at a time.
lastly I leave you with some photos of the last and final visit I had at this gym (during a rainy day). I will let the photos speak for themselves.
Side note: during the past 2 months there has been construction going on , (on the second level of the building).. basically what I’m trying to say is that it sounds like a blo0dy jackhammer during your workout.. so enjoy the ambience folks!
Looking forward to seeing the managers retaliatory response below.
(Clearly profits are valued more than members here, and it is clear to see all thought the gym)
Truth hurts doesn’t it.
Bottom line: save your money folks, there are a lot better gyms in there area which are competitive in price and actually care about their members and the...
