It's an interesting museum with lots of recreation of period rooms and items. The way you enter is by a side door. When we arrived there was no one or signage of what to do. We wandered in and went into a couple rooms before someone greeted us. They asked us to wait and a guide would be along soon. We waited and a nice gentleman gave us a tour. One of the people on the tour brought up the notorious person they held in that jail. The guide said they don't bring him up unless asked because it is still a wound for that community. Once he was brought up the guide gave us interesting information about his time at the jail. Then he showed the group a display case that had information about the crimes, some books and photos. But if that's not your cup of tea the entire building is filled with different themed historical rooms! It's definitely not Gein oriented in any way... really just the opposite.
