Nice facilities, exercise equipment is a welcome addition. My only concerns is the lack of visibility of the signs directing bicycle traffic to stay left and walkers/joggers to the right and slight overgrowth of grass in the left lane. Some areas of the designated bike lane are reduced down to 10-12 inches. I rode 8 laps today and just about every time I lapped the same two or three people continuing to use the designated bike lane to walk/jog. Perhaps changing the orientation of current signs or adding painted "Bicycle Lane" on the designated left lane could help to clear up any confusion walkers/joggers and cyclists may have. Even calling a courteous "On your left" was met with confused looks or even displeased ones. I ride this multi-use path because the mid valley city streets have become increasingly more dangerous for bicycle commuters. Great path otherwise, I suggest other cyclists add a bell to their bikes before riding as an extra measure of safety...
Read moreWeslaco City park is awesome you can reserve a pavilion at city hall for around $40 they have shared bbq pits, picknick tables ,play ground, soccer field, basket ball court, tennis court and restrooms they also have a 1 mile trail track to run around the park and working out equipment it is open to the public but pavilions are reserved so watch out you can get kicked out from them if you didnt pay over all this city park is great for hoasting parties and events and every day visits with the family also pet friendly just clean up after them and...
Read moreI remember this park in the 1980's it was where the carnival would set up n it brings back good memories of when I was still a young buck..those were the days..hearing the school Bell dismissing us for the weekend n we would walk home from Sam Houston n cut through City Park to get home n stop n drink that city water from their fountains..yuk!
