08.09.25 .. during the torrential rain, not knowing it was flooded out there, we were in the main building.. I had my two young nieces with me.. I was the last customer for the guy that was selling these awesome blankets! Wrapped up the girls.. slowly walked.. soaking wet.. back to the vehicle. Thank the Lord.. and my Komoot app (which I had activated when we arrived, thankfully).. guided us safely back to the vehicle.. avoiding, the MKE Mile track loaded w/soooo many cars.. I couldn't see where to walk.. and.. checked my phone for another route around. We didn't know about the flooded areas at that time.. so so thankful for the warm blankets on the girls and.. a safe path. The State Fair officials .. were aware of flooding.. they could have been proactive in this very dangerous situation. Very disappointed! So many people could have been warned early.. allowing them to choose to leave before it was what it became. Scooters, strollers, little kids, etc . . . were all at risk. With proper communication, throughout the fair, this could have been avoided. I might not have worded this politically correct.. and.. I'm expert on .. well .. anything ( ;p ).. but I will vent regardless. The increasingly dangerous situation of areas flooding.. which people could NOT have known .. was occurring while they sought shelter within the fair. This was known by those working at the fair.. and.. this warranted immediate communication.. to all fair guests! Too many sad situations and stories, many of which .. could have...
Read moreWhat kind of an idiot runs this place??? My wife and I came to watch the ARCA race and the NASCAR truck race. The cost of parking was ok, but PLEASE explain to me why the VIP parking was right up by the grandstand and the handicap parking is on the far southern corner (84th & Greenfield) at the far end of the expo center. I’m 67 years old with 3 back fusions and a knee replacement that is still healing. Now I have to walk literally a half mile and climb 2 flights of stairs to get to my seats. On top of the walk it was 90 + degrees out. Ok, I screwed up on the stairs, I didn’t know there was an elevator. Thank god there were benches along the expo center to rest on. Numerous people were complaining while trying to walk to and from the track. Why don’t they have a cart or bus to take the handicapped and elderly people to the grandstands? Or why not just put the handicapped parking right...
Read moreJust heard TPain's side of why the Wiscansin State Fear is not being held at Miracle Mile. If even a fifth of what he said is true, i feel you should be ashamed! As a venue location, you have the right to deny any group. But entering into an agreement, knowing everything that is needed to put an event together, and then providing restrictions AFTER.the fact is so disrespectful and poor business ethics. I would recommend a complete overhaul of your planning/marketing group, unless you want to continue sending out a message that you are operating under the 'good ole boys' rules. I do understand it is one person's perspective. But your responses are ridiculous in this day and age. Stop...
