I am a rep for an Indie designer and brought her samples to sell; all high end impeccable quality one of a kind garments. This designer has been designing for celebrities and is on the design teams for many well known celebrity licensed lines. ( You don't think the celebrities actually do it do you?) No, they just license their 'Name'. So this designer has her own label but calls herself a 'clothing artist'; and the fact is she's a genius. She is known as the Elsa Schiaperelli of the 21ST Century and the Che Guevara of Fashion Revolution! They (the store clerks) didn't want it because designer sells on ETSY??? Who do they think they are? A lot of well known designers and talented artists sell on ETSY because of the creative outlet and not wanting to deal with over saturation and over commercialisation of their artistic integrity! A lot of celebrities buy from Etsy artists for the individualism and high quality items for sale. I can handle that they didn't think the product was right for their customer but feel they could handle it better and not be so snobby. I wouldn't shop there again (Yes, I bought two purses from them before at $60.00 each.). and although I made $200.00 selling a Louis Vuitton bag there, I will never deal...
Read moreMy interaction with Closet NV was less than ideal. I brought in a pair of shoes to sell earlier this year. Initially, I was given incorrect information to track the status of my item and had to speak to someone regarding that. The matter was resolved quickly. Cool. Unfortunately, my shoes did not sell so I went to pick them up. When I brought the shoes to them, they were in the original box and included everything given to me when I purchased the shoe. When I went to pick them up, the shoes were sitting alone on a counter. Which at that moment was fine -- increased visibility. But I soon learned that the box was missing. They didn't even record how I originally gave them my shoes. They ended up giving me a box for a totally different style (so I did receive similar packaging) and size. The staff is really nice, but I feel my experience speaks on the professionalism of the store. I would recommend shopping there if you want nice, designer pieces. But I would advise you to seek another consignment spot to sell...
Read moreAfrican American Women in Metro Detroit Beware of shopping at this place. I was treated belligerently by the owner and refused a refund after explaining death in my family and travel. I only asked to have a store credit. I was yelled at in front of the other customers and basically asked to leave . I kindly asked about taking Gucci bag I had consigned that expired in April. She took my bag off and display had me sign a sticky note and walked away. I asked an onlooker for a shopping bag to take my purse out in. I felt disrespected disregarded. No human being should be treated the way I was treated today in front of my daughter. It was a life lesson to her to holds one’s dignity no matter what. I will Never Spend One dollar here again and so am encouraging other African American women to help me send a strong g message to this owner that we refuse to treated less...
