Meola's Wayside Ice Cream — Attraction in West Boylston

The site says they close at 10 I get there at 9:20 with my children and spouse just to be greeted with frustration because they said they are about to close my daughter asks for and advertised campfire smore Sunday the girl then says are you sure you want it because it’s too big?!, what the hell does she care if it big or not, she’s not paying for it!! Then turns to the “manager” and says can i sell it to them and the manager responds no. Then I ask for banana split she says no because we turned off the machines because we are closing. I’m like what are you serious it’s either you are open or not at this point it’s not even 9:30 and she says do you want to talk to my manager which turned out to be a bigger jerk that just wanted to get out of there and had the audacity to tell me well we are not talking about her now as I complained about the girl serving us, he said you are talking to me now. like saying I don’t want to hear you. Both were the most rudest person ever I’m definitely not going back there. They were not sorry what’s so ever. Really bad customer service. And on top of that I explained to him the website says they close at 10 and he the response was well what do you want me to do as he raised his shoulders....

I am a loyal customer I go with my family all the time today I went with my mother , sister and my autistic sick brother I ordered a strawberry ice cream and I strawberry cheesecake ice cream and the lady in the window brings me the strawberry ice cream half melted and told me after she served me the ice cream that it was melted I took it because it was for my sick autistic brother who is very picky but my mother didn’t like that the ice cream was melted and went up to a different window and the teenage girl that was there said they couldn’t take it back but that she could get my mom something else and that she was all set then we were sitting down eating ice cream and another worker who said she was a manager but she looked 15 came and harassed us over a $6 I’ve cream saying we had to pay for it upsetting my autistic brother this place is awful and the workers are worse! Went on a day trip to Gloucester on Saturday. Decided to stop at Meolas on the way home and grab an ice cream cone. I ordered a small mocha chip with sprinkles and my husband ordered a small dish of vanilla with strawberries on top. The counter clerk returned and told my husband that in order to put berries on top, she had to charge him for a sundae so does he also want whipped cream and a cherry or no strawberry topping. He opted for the sundae fixings. My small cone was ENORMOUS!! For $4.95 I guess it should be...TBH, It was REALLY GOOD ICE CREAM!!! In closing, I have to say that, although a bit pricey (although I guess all ice cream stands are), the ice cream is amazingly YUMMY!!! It's also my understanding that sometimes on the weekends, they have live music to entertain you while enjoying a little...
