the best way to describe this park is flexible. it truly is a multi purpose space! I’m not sure what more to ask for!
you’ve got; an outdoor pool, a simple track, baseball diamond, black top outdoor basketball court (they recently redid the lines for the court), a community center (I haven’t gone inside yet), a good quality playground, many benches, and GREAT people.
over covid this was the place to be. as a dog owner (not my dog pictured), the groups of people that ended up coming through daily were always lovely. it feels like a local park! you get to know your neighbors, meet other doggies, see gatherings for outdoor yoga and small religious gatherings.
the place is not over policed, always kept up, not snooty, and just a pilsen staple. glad it’s here and I’m glad to have picnics in the summer and snow-fun in the winter.
