I was a patient of Dr. Bock's from 2004 - 2017. During the fall of 2017, I noticed a small chip on my front tooth and brought this to his attention. He told me that it was because of grinding caused by teeth overcrowding in my jaw due to getting old (I was 41 at the time). Dr. Bock told me that a night guard would stop the grinding, but that I should really get Invisalign to prevent the teeth overcrowding. I elected to go with the night guard because it was vastly cheaper than Invisalign ($800 versus $5000) and the fact that I had orthodontics as a child. Dr. Bock proceeded to fix my chipped tooth, but told me that the fix was only temporary and that the grinding would most likely wear away the sealant. Sure enough, a month later the sealant he applied to the tooth came off. This was the impetus to have the night guard made as quickly as possible and I came in to have a mold of my teeth made. Literally, right before Dr. Bock was about to apply the molding material to my teeth, he stopped and said that I should really apply the money for the night guard towards Invisalign. Trusting his word as a longtime patient of his, I scheduled an appointment to have the Invisalign scans. Still, I couldn't shake the nagging feeling that something was wrong. I decided to visit my longtime family dentist to get a second opinion. The family dentist told me that my grinding had nothing to do with teeth overcrowding, Invisalign would not solve my grinding problem, and recommended only a night guard which he could make for $300 cheaper than want Dr. Bock quoted me. Cityview Dental is by far the best dental practice I've ever been with. Dr. Bock gives thorough explanations of everything, takes care and time with me, and has probably the best bedside manner of any medical professional I've ever known. Nick at the front desk is on top of -everything-, including managing insurance hurdles and scheduling around hurdles. Tracy takes such good care of my sensitive teeth/gums, and is a genuinely kind heart with awesome skills and personality. The office is modern and comfortable, with Dr. Bock's amazing art displayed.
