This location itself is great 1000/10- I got a helix piercing on 4/26 and the nurse was great. Walked me through the process and made sure I was comfortable the entire way. Everyone was so nice at this location and it was one of the best piercing experiences I've had.
Where I knock off 2 stars is the aftercare. I had an issue on 5/4 where I bumped my piercing with my towel and the entire earring snapped off. We tried to get it back into the post, but couldn't. There was no snap/pop into the post so we think a piece broke off inside. I reached out to the 24/7 email and provided photos and asked what my options were and if they had any advice. Piper responded with a blanket copy paste about how to insert the post and earring. Not at all helpful and did not answer any questions. I asked if they had recommendations for a specific metal so I could get something to hold the spot until I could get a temporary earring, but they stopped responding. Piper only responded when I threatened to open a credit card dispute for the $98.00 I spent on the earring, which shouldn't break off from a bump with a towel. It took over an hour and writing into both their Facebook/Instagram to get a response. Piper told me I would be receiving a replacement earring and post due to their 30 day policy of if anything goes wrong with the earring, they'll replace it. I was told it would be shipped out next day (so Monday 5/5), but as of yesterday, the label was still pending. So I wasted a week with just the post in my ear and didn't get a temporary placeholder since I thought they would be shipping it next day. It's only coming from Des Moines to Cedar Rapids, so it should NOT take that long. I emailed yesterday to again ask what is happening, since they haven't held up their end of the bargain, but I shouldn't have held my breath because again customer support did not answer. I checked tracking today and it finally shipped, but only because I again had to threaten a dispute for the $98.00.
So in short, absolutely I recommend getting pierced at this location, but I recommend picking one of the cheaper options for your earring and posts since they are made pretty cheaply and customer support is absolutely no help in upholding their replacement policy (especially if you're over 2 hours away like I am and can't just hop over...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about our experience! I brought my 6-year-old in to get her ears pierced, and from start to finish, the staff was absolutely amazing. They were kind, patient, and completely in tune with how to make a young child feel safe and comfortable. Michelle took the time to explain every step in a way my daughter could understand, answered all her questions, and never rushed the process. In fact, Michelle worked together with another nurse, Maggie, to pierce both ears at the same time. This made the process so much quicker and easier for my daughter—she didn’t have time to get scared or overwhelmed between ears. Each staff member was like my daughters own personal cheerleader making it a memorable experience. Highly recommend for anyone, especially parents with kids who are a little nervous—this is the...
Read moreWalking in to Rowan was a spur-of-the-moment decision to get my ears re-pierced, because they kept closing up on me. I had my ears pierced many years ago by a store that no longer exists. I always had trouble with my ears itching and swelling and earrings falling out. I gave up. 30 days ago I got them re-pierced by Juelie and had a great experience. It was so comforting to know that nurses do the piercing. The tools were sterile, she wore gloves, and it was great to actually have an education on how to treat my ears afterwards. SO glad I went to Rowan as I haven’t had a bit of trouble, and I love my earrings. Going back soon to have my 30-day checkup. I love that the materials are the best quality, and I look forward to buying more there, as I can trust I won’t have any problems. Thank you Juelie and...
