I've had very mixed results with jewelers, but I came here because I wanted a place that was a) reasonable hours both during the week and weekend, b) would be reasonably priced, c) non-judgmental of my pieces (some were definitely non-standard) and d) most importantly- friendly. They checked all the boxes, from first phone call till the end. They tried to help each customer in a timely manner while busy, without making anyone else feel cheated, gave updates about everything they were doing, treated each piece, no matter it's monetary value, with the same respect, ordered a version of the ring so I could see in person before committing to. They helped me save money in multiple ways, they warned me ahead of time of any risks to my stones or pieces, they made sure I was getting what I wanted, they stayed late when things took longer- even though I was happy to leave and come back. I'm very pleased, and even though I don't live close, this will now be my go-to place. I worked mostly with Cheryl, but also briefly with Glenda, both of which were lovely.

The first time I used them was to create a custom made necklace with my late mother-in-law's diamond from her engagement ring. I wanted something very specific created and Michael worked with me to ensure I got exactly what I was looking for. Via email he answered all my questions and was patient. The final product is stunning and came at a very reasonable price. We shopped around and Gem was the most reasonable. Because of my good experience I went back recently to get my engagement ring and wing band soldered. Again Gem did a fantastic job.
