Have been a take out customer for years. Last time we ordered was 3 months ago when we had Vietnamese Ravioli as an appetizer and chicken with broccoli as an entree. The price had increased but, the quality had decreased. The Vietnamese Ravioli was smaller with a minimal strip of shrimp inside, more bean sprouts and less of the other fillings. Chicken with broccoli was bland tasting and little strips of broccoli small pieces of chicken and way too much onion. We assumed the chef had an off night since this was the first time we were unhappy with our order.
Last night, we thought we'd give the place anther chance. Sadly, we were again disappointed with our order. The price had again risen by a dollar. Vietnamese Ravioli was small, with hardly any shrimp and more bean sprouts. Shrimp with broccoli had little strips of broccoli and not much shrimp and was bland.
This place used to serve really good food but, it seems like they are cutting back on the key elements that made them a good restaurant in the first place, fresh ingredients and larger portions of be and proteins. We were happy to pay a little extra because the quality was better than other restaurants in the area...but now, they are like every other Asian take-out except, they still charge more.... We will not return to...
Read moreI am a vegetarian and eat alot of Asian food because it is predominantly vegetarian. I went to this restaurant and there was a Buddha offering in the front so I had reason to believe they would have a good vegetarian menu. They did offer some items but not many. I ordered a noodle soup and after a few bites my stomach started to feel queezy. I called the man over who ran the place and asked him to confirm that my soup was a vegetarian soup, he kept saying 'yes, yes, no meat, no meat in that soup'. after he finished overstating I calmly said 'my stomach is reacting as though there is meat in it, may I have another vegetarian soup?' he replied 'no meat only chicken broth in soup'. I was outraged, and I stressed to him that it was on the 'Vegetarian Menu' which he replied 'yes no meat' and I said 'No! It's not supposed to have any meat or animal broth at all!' The literally poisoned me because I cannot digest any meat enzymes and they actually made me eat something that is against my religious beliefs! I honestly should have consulted a lawyer, instead I was sick in the...
Read moreFirst off, I would like to state that I am very much Vietnamese lol so I know very well what good Vietnamese food taste like, and I'm VERY surprised to see all these comments about the food being bland and unseasoned. I've been going to this restaurant for about 5-6 years now, maybe even longer. I can say that I've never had an issue with the food whatsoever! Idk if the people leaving bad reviews just didn't know what to order or if they had no knowledge about what's good or not, but the food there is awesome. Their pho is great and everything else that I've ate there over the years have been exceptional. I've never had an issue with the staff or the restaurant in general. And, I'm seeing a lot of comments about "other" Vietnamese restaurants in the neighborhood that's better. Of course, everyone has the right to their own opinion but if you're referring to Pho Boston then I can't take your review...
