One of our basketball players, who is a member of wacc, is forced out of the court very rudely by the female manager and her two assistants because he didn’t leave the basketball court half an hour before the official game started today. We come to this place constantly and was not notified on their website about this event. Initially, we think the thing has done. But later tonight, our group leader received the message from the higher Wacc management complaint that one of their Wacc members, who is the unfortunate guy been forced out of wacc violently by the female manager, is very rude to wacc employee. So evil people always bite first. Aha. Wacc members paid over $600 a year to be forced out rudely. We check your calendar before coming and it is not showing any event. We have 15 people signed up this Friday evening for the basketball competition and all of them are disappointed because of wacc’s rude management. There is no apology about Mis-notification and messed up in management but further escalate the thing after it has been settled. The wacc member been kicked out violently just want to catch the last opportunity to shot a few balls before the game starts, is that really necessary to use the highest level of violence to force him out? Two guards are standing next to him when he has left the main court to take drinking water. They seems worried that this plausible aggressive man will rush back into the court and destroy the whole game today. I really don’t know how violent your people’s daily life is. But your location in austin and the price people paid does’t match with your membership service. Some of us are still paying $15 daily pass to play basketball at wacc. We are observing and hesitating to convert to family membership. Even free places like austin recreational-center and south austin recreational center manage the places better than wacc. The basketball court in wacc is slipy and it seems never been waxed while austin recreational center does a better job than wacc. Next time, when I buy a daily pass, can you at least give me a recipient to show that I have...
Read moreIt's a compact facility with an adequate snack bar, a few tables, an indoor soccer field on one side, and basketball/volleyball courts on the other. Where it lacks is room to maneuver, sit, and watch. Eben the bathrooms are compact and inadequate. Every volleyball tournament we've attended at this facility, I've been left standing or sitting on the floor the majority of the time. They have bleachers but they are small and only accommodate about 1/2 of the spectators attending. On the volleyball/basketball side personal chairs are not allowed (not sure on the soccer side). The indoor break area outside the courts is compact so you better like getting close to strangers if you want to relax indoors in between games, otherwise you might need to set up outside. The male restroom is TIGHT to the point of rubbing shoulders upon ingres and egress, urinating, and washing hands (plan on well orchestrated dances to got it all done) and there ALWAYS seems to be a line at the ladies room. Traveling around the facility common areas nearly always requires some patience and give-and-take with other guests as everybody is trying to come and go in the same space. Finally, parking is nearly always a problem unless you get there really early (like before they open the doors) otherwise it's reminiscent of stalking parking spots on college campus. All in all it is a decent and we'll equipped facility that gets the job done but lacks...
Read moreWorst experience with a paid service. I went to this facility on Friday, March 9th around 6 PM to play basketball with my friend during my visit from Dallas, together with two other friends from Chicago and Georgia. And the experience was bad from the very beginning. This one guy, later claimed himself the facility manager, came to us and asked us to pay a $15/person fee with disdain, the attitude that I would say f off and leave if I weren't to play with my friends. I mean come on, we are all working professionals with decent salary that can afford to play. I hate to say this, but he seems really nice when talking to the little kids that were playing there. So why treating us differently at the very beginning? Then at 8:05 PM, he raised the backboards without letting us know. We thought we deserved a refund but this "manager" said "you guys have been here for an hour and a half, there is no way I am giving you a refund". Again, if you told us that you would close early, OR, be nice and let us know before you were about to raise the backboards, we would have understood. It is like you go to watch a movie, then the movie stops playing with 30 mins left and you tell the audience to leave without a refund since they have watched part of it??? When asked his name, he wouldn't tell us and kept saying call the WACC. So here I am, writing this negative review for a good facility ruined by a...
