This park is home to many NAFA girl's fast pitch softball tournaments. The greenery is beautiful, but that's about it.
The girl's restrooms never have toilet paper, and the staff in the concessions don't either. The girl's restrooms also don't have garbage cans in the stalls. It is really hard to be a 12, 13, or 14 year old girl with 10 minutes between games to change feminine hygiene products, and not have anywhere to put your used products without taking them out of the stall, through an enormous line, and tossing them in the one trash can by the door (and by all your teammates and coaches and opponents who are waiting in line for their turn). Fields that cater to girls sports with zero thought put into restroom maintenance is not OK.
The fields are made of hard clay with zero give. Bad hops are common because of uneven terrain. A little field maintenance would go a long way.
During tournaments the garbage cans are beyond overflowing, and they do not allow recycling of cans) bottles. ALL of the bottles of water just get tossed. It's a sad sight to see.
Yes, the scenery is beautiful, but zero effort is put into...

Dogs allowed on leash. Bring poop bags.... Take away food just 1/4 mile from the park. Great picnic location as there are plenty of tables, coveted areas &...

At dawn we walk where rivers meet, In morning hush, the world feels sweet. The sun peeks out, soft golden light, And shadows dance on waters bright.
Reflections hold the trees, the sky, A gentle breeze comes drifting by. Wild birds sing their sacred tune, Among wildflowers kissed by June.
Each step a gift, each breath a prayer, Peace and beauty everywhere. A perfect place to pause the race, And feel the earth’s embracing grace.
We come at sunrise, hearts made still, To Willamette Park, beneath the hill. A quiet gem, forever dear— A healing space we...
