Bought a used 23 Accord from Hudson 3 weeks ago. The experience wasn’t that great overall, should’ve seen the signs as some things seemed sketchy. Im in CT,about 2 hours away, asked if car was still available through website,Sylvia called me said it was, asked ?s,was told it wasn’t a smokers car. made appt with her,got there, assumed she was sales, she wasn’t,told she wasn’t free. Was asked to wait, waited a while, after multiple attempts finally got someone to help,Darwin,he was new but was really nice. Planned to trade in my Accord, they matched price to my local Honda place which was great. I looked at the car, overall looked great, some minor scratches on paint but that’s expected. It was a smokers car, but felt I could deal with smell as it would clear up. took a test drive, all good there. back in for paperwork,Darwin’s coworker, victor, came over multiple times, noticed right away there was a “certification charge” as a line item which I questioned as it was $3000 on top of sales price. He left to get it lowered, said $500 less I asked if they could do more, waited again they had already took my key & car away. The car I was buying was also gone from the lot. Went upstairs to financing, to work with Emmanuel? told me what monthly payment would be based on my credit, trade etc. was much higher than I estimated. Questioned it,went back & forth he dropped it a little. i also have top tier credit over 800 score. Should’ve got Honda’s best rate for this which should’ve been 3.99% as advertised on Honda/their websites in effect in March & April. He said rate was 8.3% which was best he could get from Honda, I was shocked It was almost 9, they closed at 8 & had been there since 5,was ready to go home figured I’d either call Honda myself or go through my credit union for lower rate. Go outside to see car was parked there again,Immediately both Darwin & i noticed a bunch of scratches on the windshield, they were definitely not there when I looked at/test drove it earlier. Not sure what happened. He went back inside & said the manger/service had already left & I’d have to wait until Monday to resolve issues. took pictures of scratches as did Darwin before I left. He gave me his cell, said his manager would get back to me. Victor called & asked me to send pics of scratches,I said Darwin has them but I sent him pics & video I took the 1st night at dealership & next morning I called back numerous times left messages with no reply. I went back that Friday after & asked for manager Giancarlo who I was told I needed to speak to by Darwin & others. Was told he wasn’t in, had to wait almost an hour & finally someone came over, Bruce, I showed him the windshield. He tried to say the scratches were on the inside on tint , they were not, you can feel the scratches on the outside. Then said it had the scratches before I got it. They were definitely not there prior. He said that he could not replace it for free but would work with me on cost, said he’d do it for $200,said I’ll think about it but feel I shouldn’t have to pay extra for something that wasn’t there when I first looked at/test drove car earlier that day. They are very noticeable day & night. I called back over the next few days left messages trying to get a hold of Giancarlo. Told he was out or busy, he’ll call me back etc. Finally got a hold of him & said that he could not help me, said he had no idea who Darwin was either, that I would have to speak to Victor, he would have him call me the next day, that was over a week ago. Tried many times to reach but no response, my issues have still not been resolved. I should’ve went with my first instincts & just left, returned car, gone somewhere else. I tried reaching out to Darwin again to o& didn’t hear back, found out that recently he no longer worked there I even called Honda directly & they said that the certification should’ve been part of the original price not a line item tacked on after on top of the “sales price “ & also confirmed that their best rate was...
Read moreI couldn't be happier with my decision to purchase two cars from Hudson Honda, nor more grateful for the help provided by everyone at this dealership. I would like to express my immense gratitude to Yomara (sales) who has served me with infinite patience every time I needed it; to the manager (M. Alvarenga - not sure if I wrote it right :)) who helped me choose the cars and guided me with prices, and to Finance department who obtained excellent financing terms for me. Initially, I had a disastrous experience with my first purchase of a used Honda Pilot from them. I had problems a considerable distance from NJ, and I took it to another Honda dealer for repairs. In those moments of frustration, what I valued most was the attention I received from Hudson Honda and the help they provided me trying to solve the problem, even though they didn't have the car in their workshop. In my case, both the managers and the sales representative (Yomara) did everything they could and more, to resolve my problem. It's been a very slow and frustrating process. I've called and texted them hundreds of times and taken my anger out on the other dealership, but even so, they've been great to me and stoically endured my complaints while they resolved my problem and provided me with a replacement car. I don't usually publish reviews. In this case, I decided to do so because my experience with them has been positive. Before doing so, I read several of the other users' opinions and want to make it clear that I respect the opinions of those who haven't been as fortunate as I was but based on my experience, compared to other dealerships of the same brand, these people have helped me (you should have seen the dealership that first pretended "repaired" my Pilot when the issue occurred). I also want to add that it is true that they charge around 3k for the extended warranty on used car sales (as other users have described) but you are free to choose not to take it. In my case, when I first bought the Pilot, I declined that warranty, and I preferred to stay on one year Honda Certification for used cars. They don't force you to accept it. It is true that the prices increase compared to those advertised on the website (obviously because there's taxes applying). Unlike other users, my experience with other dealerships was exactly the same at this regard, and I would say that even worst when I went to ask for prices in other states Honda dealerships. It is also true that the repair department is a complete mess (I confirmed this when, after getting my Pilot out of the other Honda dealership and I took it to Hudson Honda with excitement, thinking that they were going to fix it!!! Oh boy!!! Benny, the guy that people mention in the negative comments, is exactly what people describe). Just as a suggestion, you guys must work on fix that miss!!!. You have a reputation to uphold, and it's a shame that after so many complaints, that department continues to provide poor service. They're not doing you a great favor and are seriously undermining the work that the rest of you are doing. Aside from that aspect, overall (based on my experience) I'm happy with my decision to continue purchasing from Hudson Honda and personally, I consider them a highly recommended...
Read moreMy experience was absolutely bad at Hudson Honda west New York!!! Milton the supervisor, and Stefano tried to scam us with almost $3,000-4,000. We went in to buy a car a couple months and it was absolutely bad. I wasn’t going to write this review but I haven’t received any word back from Honda customer service. At first the experience was good we got greeted by the other sales representatives and gave us water and snacks. Then Stephano!! Came in to talk and give us details about the car. We told him the car details and we negotiated a price as he was telling us it involved all the APR and interest rates. The car we bought had a 1000 dollars off because of Memorial Day weekend. However stephano charged almost $4000 more. At first we constantly were asking to see papers of the prices and what we were being charged with but stephano held the paper and said we can’t disclose them. If they even check the camera they will see that stephano never showed us any fees or payments that we had to pay, and kept telling us this price was including interest rate which was not included. We noticed that after buying the car. We call Milton and he says on the phone “have fun you signed the contract”. How bad customer service is that!! We go to the shop again and we did all the calculations and showed them we were scammed with almost $4000 dollars and if they weren’t going to price adjust out payment than we were going to return the car. Milton, David (a sales general) and Stephano kept arguing with us and saying how there is a “fee” they had to charge to cover up. However there was no such thing as a fee: they kept contradicting everything they were saying making them agree with us without them even realizing. I had all the calculations and indeed there was a big difference with what I was charged and what I was supposed to get charged. After a while, David realizes and then price adjusts out payment proving our point that they did try to take more money then they needed to. However despite Milton and Stephano and they’re rude and bad customer service. We did all our paper work with yorki we have the original documents they gave us with the very same expensive price and we also have the other documents with the somewhat correct price. At that time they also had a promotion where whoever referred you got $200 and they pictures of idea of that person that referred me and they never send them the $200. It’s been months and nothing was sent. I called to ask them about it and they said they weren’t going to give it because of what happened when buying the car and that they had to lower the price. They had to lower the price to the correct price and they are making it seem they did nothing wrong. I will not stop until they send the $200 and for an action to happen. We called customer service a million times and they say they put in a report but they never contacted me back for anything. Please do not buy a car from this dealership because you will...
