Newest Update on 5/18/22: Please read the entire review for a fair assessment. I went back yesterday as per my appointment to rectify the situation. I figured I might as well have a pedi while there because sandal season has arrived. Right off the bat Cecilia was running late for my fill-in, but had me sit at the pedi station. My nail polish was removed and my feet soaked while I waited. The technician who did my pèdi was nice and everything was fine until she left me to go microblade someone's eyebrows and took so long that I nixed the idea of a gel pedi and just asked for regular polish and didn't even let it dry so that I can get out of there. Cecilia came to finish my pedi since the eyebrows seem to be so important and by this time it was 6:09 p.m. (my appointment was for 5) and my son was still waiting for me on the couch in his uniform. It was obvious there wouldn't be time for a fill-in so I told them I'd come back. To be fair, they were all super nice, but it's clear that time-management isn't their strong suit. Cecilia didn't charge me for my pedi and I told her I'd come back, which I did this morning. I called and asked if this was a good time and it was and she took her time to really give my nails some much needed tlc and discounted me for this fill-in, but that's not why I'll be back. I'll be back because they usually do a great job and are nice, I just know now to go when I'm not pressed for time and to accept that afternoon appointments are probably not the best to make here, although when you work regular hours it's hard to avoid. Overall, I still think they're the best I've gone to in the area out of the 3 I tried. Let's hope they get better with keeping appointments 🙂
First ever review: The best in the area Update after 5 months (day B4 Mother's Day 2022): I had a confirmed 3pm appointment the day before Mother's Day. The place was packed and I kept being handed off to different technicians who each couldn't do my fill-in for some reason. Finally I was told to sit. The technician in the next booth says she'll do it once she's done (she seems to almost be done and starts applying polish to client's nails). By then it's already 3:30. I finally ask if if can see the colors while I wait and am given colors. But by 3:43 the technician I'm waiting on is joking and laughing with client, not seeming the least bit rushed, and no one has apologized, explained or even approached me about the excessive lateness. So I left and went to get my nails done down the street so I could go back home to my child. I understand that the things get crazy the day before a holiday, but this is no way to treat a customer. Especially a repeat customer who usually comes on weekdays when it's not so crowded and had always been happy to come back. The funniest thing is that I received a one-line text at 4:20something along the lines of "sorry they were late. You can come I'm free now". Yeah, I think not.
Update: After multiple messages from the owner, I am going there tomorrow because everyone deserves at least a second chance. I really hope that this was and will remain a...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal client of Obsession Salon for over 4 years now, and every visit continues to exceed my expectations. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and professionalism. The ambiance is vibrant, upbeat, and welcoming, with music that sets a positive tone and a space that always feels alive and inviting.
One of the things I appreciate most is how Ceci, the owner, goes above and beyond to make every client feel seen and valued. She’s not only attentive and kind but also incredibly accommodating, especially for clients who don’t speak Spanish, she’s always ready to translate and ensure you feel completely comfortable. The staff offers complimentary water, coffee, or tea upon arrival, and there’s always someone actively cleaning and tidying around the stations, which speaks volumes about their commitment to hygiene and professionalism. The salon is immaculate, everything is clean, well organized, and thoughtfully maintained.
Obsession Salon offers a wide variety of services, including hair, makeup, acrylics, gel manicures, lash extensions, and more. But personally, I go for the pedicures, and I can honestly say they are the best I’ve ever had. The technicians take their time, are extremely detailed, and never rush through the service. The level of precision, care, and cleanliness they bring to each appointment is unmatched.
Every technician I’ve interacted with has been professional and highly skilled, but my personal favorites are Blanca, Elizabeth, and Ceci, they’re true experts at what they do and make me feel pampered every single time. I’m incredibly particular about my pedicures, and I can confidently say I’ll never go anywhere else, plus the prices are pretty reasonable!
If you’re looking for a salon that’s not only clean and organized but also delivers top tier service with a personal touch, Obsession Salon is it. You won’t be...
Read moreI went there today and got sat at 4:30 for a gel manipedi. The lady who serviced me had light brown hair with black streaks, her hair was picked up.
From the moment she sat in front of me, she immediately had attitude. It got worse as the appointment went on. She bad mouthed me the entire time because she assumed I couldn’t understand anything. When it came to the color of my nails, she got the color wrong but insisted it was fine because the number on the bottle was the same. I reiterated to her that it was the wrong color after a little bit and another nail tech had to tell her to just find the color. Which she complained about as well :)
I eventually had enough of her attitude when she was talking to another customer next to me. The other customer asked her if I was done, and she rudely said, in Spanish, that she STILL had to do my manicure. Even if I couldn’t understand a single thing she said, her tone and body language make it obvious when she’s bad mouthing me. I let her be until she attempted to confirm that she would be doing my nails, which was shortly after her exchange with the other customer. I told her, loudly, “No” and said I don’t want my nails done. She was taken aback and didn’t continue bad mouthing me after that. She immediately left and didn’t even try to check me out. I had to wait around for someone to head over to the register, and ask them to let me pay. Once I was able to pay, the lady checking me out apologized on the nail techs behalf. My friend was getting serviced as well and the same nail tech that checked me out apologized to her for my nail techs behavior.
I don’t know the nail techs name but she somehow managed to make a gel pedicure take 1 hour and 30 minutes as well as have an attitude so bad that another nail tech had to apologize for her TWICE.
BTW Gel Pedicure was $40 dollars and she cured it...
