Pleasantdale Nurseries Inc — Attraction in West Orange

My son gave me a Weeping Cherry Tree purchased at this location and within a month it was dead. I contacted the nursery asking for a replacement and was told they do not exchange or refund and don't guarantee their plants won't die once they leave the nursery. My son gave it to me for Mother's Day and paid $150 for a sick tree! I called on 6/27/2018 and asked to speak to the owner and was told he wasn't there. I provided my name and number and asked that the owner kindly return my call. Here were are 1 day short of 2 weeks and no call back. I've been trying for years to get my garden going and still know nothing. Until today! Hilary at Pleasantdale spent over half an hour, walking me around and teaching me about different flowers and plants, what their requirements are, whether or not they'll survive my hungry deer. It ended up not being a very big purchase,(because I'm on a tight budget) but that didn't stop her from helping me load everything into my car. I called to verify that they had a specific item in stock (poblano peppers), since my local nursery didn't have them. They explicitly confirmed that they had them. A 25 minute drive later, nope! Nothing! They had just assumed they had them, and my displeasure at being misled was mostly met with a shrug and that they will have some soon. Great job, especially during the pandemic, inducing people into your shop unnecessarily. I won't be bothering with this place again, not rewarding...
