Wanted to give them 0 stars but would not let me. This West Sacramento Planet Fitness Gym is in a terrible location! Joined for a week and cancelled due to too many pan handlers asking for money and bothering me as I exited my car. The customer service was friendly at first. It is an understatement to say they they are not giving out accurate information. Be cautious if you are signing up, do not believe what they say unless it states it in the fine print contract! I signed up on the 11th of the month and cancelled six days later on the 17th but was charged a full month ($23)! I asked to be contacted by the manager regarding my cancellation and was never contacted. I had to make the initiative to call them back two weeks later. When I signed up I had asked if I was going to be prorated for the month since I'm signing up mid month and they said yes, then charged me for the full month because the cut off date to cancel was the 17th which they did not mention when I asked. I called and spoke with the manager, Sayra Sanchez. Instead of providing good customer service she kept repeating verbage from the contract. When I asked why her employee said I would be prorated all she could say was that it was a miscommunication. She never once apologized for my experience but instead kept cutting me off, interrupting me in mid sentence and talking over me. It was one of the worst customer service experience ever, by a manger none the less! When I asked for the corporate office phone number she told me to look it up on line and then put me on a hold without letting me know. I canāt switch to a different location because I have the basic membership however one of the staff members decided to yell at me last night regarding the tanning booth incident that I cracked a joke about as I was walking out. I simply asked them was I violating any rules they yelled back no but that itās not cool to say stuff like that however Friday night I cracked the same joke and they engaged in conversation with me telling me how they werenāt even aware of the incident until their sister-in-law informed them and showed them articles and things like that he also stated that itās not fair that staff have to do extra work like logging the work being done when itās not this locations fault there was a body found in the tanning bed my overall concern is being yelled at and bothered for cracking a joke when if he was bothered about my joke why did he engage in conversation which he started originally. Lastly I donāt understand why Iām being crucified regarding what I said when a few months ago a member at the front desk which I was also at making inappropriate remarks and statements and no one yelled at him to stop saying that no one tried to fix the situation at all but when I make a joke thatās probably already made before Iām getting treated like Iām such a bad person. Take into account I have been a member here since October 2022 and never have experienced anything like this when coming here...

My experience: this Planet Fitness is the only gym in the greater Sacramento area requiring masks while physically exerting oneself. Slamming a burrito inside is okay but running 6 minute miles on the treadmill without a freedom blocker on is a big no no. Bigger health concern breathing in a sweaty, germ inundated piece of fabric than coronavirus.
After my one day of membership, I was told I had to cancel my membership online, which I proceeded to do though the cancellation kept erroring out and I was unable to do so. I just cancelled in person, but am now having to jump through hoops to get my refund and have to return in person when the manager is in. Horrible experience and 10/10 shorting PLNT shares.
CONSIDER OTHER GYMS, THIS IS NOT THE SPOT.
Response to owner: Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it. There is a cancellation feature on the mobile app so that is not true that cancellations must be done at the facility or by a signed form. Yolo county has had mask mandates in place prior to Newsom's new state mandate. The West Sacramento Planet Fitness did not require masks prior to the new state mandate, implemented on 12/15/21, so again, not true. I will contact the manager tomorrow to...
