Daniel Boone Park — Attraction in West Virginia

The park is small but mighty! There is a small men's and women's (separate) restroom by the long parking lot. It isn't beautiful, but it does work. It is a one way road so don't do what we did and go the wrong way. Haha Go down the hill in front of you when you pull in, drive along the river, then up the hill into the parking lot. There is a dock that you can walk out onto and a few benches/picnic tables on the grassy hill. No playground. We used this as a snack/wiggle break on our 8 hour road trip with a 4 and 6 year old. Daniel Boone is one of not too many public boat launch sites on the Kanawha River between the Marmet and Winfield Locks. It's easy access and there are plenty of trailer spaces. The ramp is steeper than ones I've been used to launching from, so be aware and don't back down too fast (like I did the first time) and have to stand on the brake.
