Craik-Patton House — Attraction in West Virginia

We were in town for a family reunion and had to wait for our Airbnb to become available. With time to kill, we looked for smaller museums and stumbled upon this one. We really enjoyed the tour. The house was neat, but what I always find the most interesting are the stories and historical facts that the guides provide. He didn't disappoint. It felt like we were in Washington DC and had our own private tour of a historical home. They've curated some really nice items from the period as well. Pay by donations. No set ticket price...

I have loved my multiple visits over the years to this museum house! It compares with the best of these houses around the country. I highly recommend the Craik Patton House for small weddings. Nate was awesome to work with and was exceedingly patient in answering all of my questions. When asked how many chairs would fit on the porch, he pulled out a measuring tape to provide an exact answer. He also worked tirelessly during the rehearsal and wedding to make sure the grounds were manicured and the reception area was spotless.
