Blue Violet Bridal Prom and Tux — Attraction in Westerly

My mom, nana, and I had the absolute BEST experience with Kayla and the employees at Blue Violet Bridal. I went into my bridal appointment looking for my dream dress and honestly at first was unsure and worried about "if" I'd find the perfect dress.

I'm a unique bride because I have some serious medical conditions that have required me to have devices implanted into my body and most obvious are a cardiac pacemaker, port, and stomach feeding tube. I let Kayla know before the appointment and from the very beginning she was kind and so easy to trust! My biggest concern was not that the devices would show, I was concerned with comfort and making sure the dress I chose didn't bother me in these sensitive areas.

I was absolutely blown away by the care Kayla had with paying attention to the dresses I liked and didn't to the point where she seemed like she even knew what I was going to say about a dress before I said it. From my experience at Blue Violet, I learned that Nana knows me best (my nana picked my perfect gown), dresses CAN have it all, and just because I have medical conditions doesn't mean I can't feel like a bride on my wedding day.

I am so in love with the dress I chose. It is like this dress was made for me and I couldn't be happier. My family has seen me through the worst of my life , enduring over 20 major surgeries and interventions in the past 34 years and now I can't wait for the day they see me glowing with happiness and wearing the most beautiful dress from Blue Violet. If I could give a million stars to this team, I would. You're all changing more lives than you realize.

My family and I were visiting Westerly for one week in the summer from NY. I had already been to two different places back home looking for wedding dresses and hadn't found anything that felt right. My mom, sister and I made an appointment for a Saturday morning, and Kayla made us feel right at home right away. She asked me what I had looked at previously, what I liked/ didn't like and what I was looking for. She pulled a few dresses and also let us pull a few dresses and then I tried them all on. She was really helpful in getting me to flesh out what I liked/ didn't like about certain dresses, and helping me trust my instincts. Eventually I found one that made me glow just from putting it on, and she helped me affirm that I had found the one! She even stayed open a little bit later on the night I was coming to pick up the dress as I had hit a bit of traffic on the way. The ladies here are more than amazing, more than phenomenal! I had been in the hunt for my dress for months and the date was coming fast. My dress had to meet a certain criteria because I was married at one of churches temples and they had dress and grooming standards for the wedding ceremony. I not only found the dress I wanted, they helped with all the specifications, got my dress rush shipped, and recommended a good seamstress for the small alterations. My dress was purchased for about half of what I would have paid at David's Bridal (where I went first) before any alterations and that's with the dress, added alterations, removable skirt, veil, and hair jewelry.
