We visited the park today. I called pretty close to closing time, and was surprised I got an answer! We were traveling - passing through town, and stop to get some lunch with a restless toddler. We picked up lunch in the shopping center within a mile of the park, and because of covid-19 we planned to eat in our car. But our toddler needed to get out of his seat and be active for a stretch. Google listed this as the nearest park. I called to inquiry about outdoor sitting areas, because I couldn't tell from the pictures or park description if there were any. The person I spoke to was welcoming and friendly, gave great directions and a layout of the park and what to expect turn by turn! She even welcomed us to eat in the nature center. There are plenty of shelters and picnic tables spread out all over! And porta-pots! It served as a great "rest stop", on a...

This park is beautifully maintained and places for all to enjoy. Long, wooded trails, a relaxing sparkling stream, picnic shelters you can reserve for your gatherings, a shaded natural wood carved playground, a huge state of the art playground with shade canopies and close picnic shelter. The adults have playground/exercise equipment too so they can have fun outside while keeping an eye on their kids. There are soccer fields. A resourceful nature center and green house offer a fun excursion. And the music stage opens to a massive green area where one will often find kids running and laughing, dogs catching Frisbees, blankets stretched out for picnics, lawn chairs set up for reading books... and the bathrooms...

We love this park. There are good trails, mostly easy. They're only moderate on wet/muddy days. Good for walking the doggies, there are "dog pots" throughout the park. There are two playground for the kids. The nature center often puts on programs for the community. There are several athletic fields to play soccer, kickball or baseball on. The water fountains near the playground and athletic fields are turned off in the late fall and winter. On snowy days the park is filled with sledders, there are some great hills that are good for younger kids. Older thrill seekers might find a better experience...

We stopped at this park and nature center to have our picnic lunch after a long morning of driving. There were a ton of sheltered picnic areas! The nature center is small so it was perfect for just a quick look at the turtles and snakes they have. We all enjoyed the park! There was a little kid area and the bigger playground plus some exercise equipment for the adults! Our teens had a blast and I hope we have a chance to walk some of the trails or visit the natural play area next time we go. The park has a lot of porta potties around. The only real bathroom I saw was inside the nature center.

Good play ground with equipment in one area for 1 to 3- year olds and more kids a little older in another. Covered pavilion with some picnic tables is nice. Quite a few swings and slides for kids to enjoy. One bad thing is that the bathroom isn't very close but is just a few minute walk away so not terrible. Aug. 23, 2019 update: Giving 5 stars now... They completed the renovations and added awesome new equipment. More stuff than before with some canopies to create shade. Still a good area for the smaller kids and separate area for older ones. New pics posted to show updates.
