I wanted to say that i appreciate the Office Depot policy of price matching its prices for 14 days on electronics. It would really be even better if it was an automatic process. If I buy a product from Office Depot and the price drops within 14 days, I should automatically be refunded the difference. That would be great customer service!
Recently, I bought a Dell laptop for $439 from Office Depot and in 10 days it dropped to $369. On Sunday I went in the store in Carrnel, IN to get the difference refunded. A not so friendly older woman employee at first tried to tell me the policy was only good for 10 days. I explained she was not correct. Then she tried to tell me that I had to physically return the item. I again explained she was not correct and the policy is right in front of her on the counter. She gruffly walked away to talk to the manager. The friendly manager then came out and processed my refund. This older woman employee desperately needs retraining or needs to find another...

Asking an associate to help you is very bothersome to them and nobody bothered to ask me if I needed something while I’m wondering the isles looking for items of need. I spent about five minutes just looking for someone to help me. Customer service is very faulty. Not impressed. I attempted to do self service at the copy machine only to find out that I had too many copies to pay for them at the self-service machine. They told me they would have to override and I would have to pay for them at the front desk (which is fine if it didn’t take so long to figure that out). I recently visited Office Depot, hoping to use their printing services, but the experience was incredibly frustrating. It seems they are severely understaffed, especially at the printing station. I had to wait over 20 minutes just to get someone’s attention and ask a basic question. There were other customers around me, all looking equally frustrated with the lack of available staff.
When I finally got assistance, the employee was courteous but clearly overwhelmed by the number of people waiting. Office Depot really needs to address their staffing issues; it’s disappointing to see customers waiting so long for basic service.
