Westlake Porter Public Library — Attraction in Westlake

I love the library, but I just don't go that way often enough anymore to be able to check out materials and return them on time. I enjoy browsing the book nook and gift shop when they are open and I happen to stop by. I also appreciated having a snack shop there--though they seemed to come and go often in the past few years.

The meeting rooms are very nice, and there are several of various sizes but there are times the staff will boot your group out of one you've reserved and move you to a different one that may or may not suit...

I used to love the the Westlake library until recently. It was a great place to study and it was a great place to check out books - great environment. They also used to send an email out notifying you that your books were due. They recently stopped this without notice and only notify you when your books are days overdue. The lady was quite rude that I should have written down my due date, although in the past I could always depend on the email. I can't imagine they need money that bad when they are receiving Westlake...

Great selection. Great staff. Miss Jamie is very nice and helpful. We once requested a set of books be purchased and we were first to get to check them out! Great enrichment for the kids and adults too. They currently (5/20/2022) have a display of super heroes made from paper mache. Sonic the Hedgehog and SpongeBob, Batman, the Black Panther, the Flash, the Hulk, Snoopy & Woodstock, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and a Minion. Looks like Spider-Man and Iron man are being made as well!! Pretty cool...
