ZuZu Chocolates — Restaurant in Westlake

I ordered white chocolate covered Oreos as my wedding favors from Zuzu. I asked for my wedding date/last name on the Oreos. I detailed a rough draft for them on what I wanted and let them have creative detail on the wording as I have seen their social media & figured I could trust them to make the flavors look elegant for a wedding. I had asked for a proof of the cookies many times on which I was told “they are not done yet so I cannot show you.” This was kind of a red flag for me but I let it go. The week of my wedding arrives & we pick them up. They did not use elegant script, & the wording was not even straight across on the name part. When I reached out, I spoke with Tamara and she became immediately defensive when I expressed my concerns. We emailed back & forth several times. She told me “they do look good though” & then said they could fix them for an ADDITIONAL fee (when these cost $1200 to begin with! Not cheap!) I do not believe my cookies were worth what I paid, but they were not at all accommodating & were just frankly rude. The taste of the cookies, though, were delicious. ZuZU Chocolates! Where do I even start?! First off, Tamara is such a lovely person and the customer service she provides is unbeatable. She is very quick to respond and does anything she can to make your order 100% perfect and what you want. She took an idea I had and made it even better with her creative vision. She made custom logo cookies for my new business and they are the cutest things I have ever seen!! I am in love with them I don't want to eat them I want to save them forever, but I couldn't resist I had to eat because all of her treats are DELICIOUS! I ordered chocolate covered strawberries for a girls night I recently hosted and everyone couldn't get over how amazing they were! The chocolate was so thick and creamy and rich it was literally the best chocolate covered strawberries and of us had ever had!

And if this business wasn't incredible enough, they donate a portion of their proceeds to The Alzheimer's Association! I love people who give back and give to a good cause and this biz does just that. They are truly amazing and the quality of their work is impeccable. Great little chocolate shop! The place is very clean and bright with an amazing floral neon wall. We went for a free Yelp Elite event and met the owner who was so nice. She told us about how her husband built the flower wall.

My wife and I both got a sample chocolate box and we purchased a cake pop since we love those. We ate it once we got in the car and at first I didn’t think I was going to like it because it was super thick chocolate but once I was able to bite into it the flavors did not disappoint! It’s probably the best tasting cake pop I’ve had, way better than the usual Starbucks ones we get! It probably would of been even better if we waited for it to get to room temperature since it just came out of the cooler.
