Nankin Hardware & Hobby — Attraction in Westland

I went there yesterday to look at some new RC trucks. I asked if they carried the sand track treads that are offered for many RC trucks. The so called "Expert" looked at me and said "I have never heard of it!" and laughed in my face. These treaded sand / snow track modules are used in many RC trucks. The proper response to a perspective customer should have been, "I dont presently stock those, but I can probably order them for you if you if you can tell me what model you would like?" Nankin needs to stop hiring fat kids who still live in their parents basement who claim to be hobby professionals. This is exaclty why nobody wants to be helped by a "Know It All" who really "Knows Nothing"! Online hobby stores are winning the game because of real customer service. This review only relates to the "Ford Road" store. The other Nankin Hobbies Stores are very fine stores. Just this store has questionable hobby employees. This is my go to hobby shop! Been going here for years. Hands down, best and most knowledgeable staff when it comes to RC anything. Mark is an individual who really goes the extra mile to make sure that the customer has the absolute best quality products that fits their budget as well as how to properly maintain and operate them. He gives nothing but honest opinions and honest suggestions on what to purchase and why. I have nothing but respect for someone who is honest with me, especially as a consumer. He as well as the rest of the staff are very intelligent and have taught me the fundamentals of quick chargers, lipo batteries, remotes, drones and how to obtain the skillset that is required to operate most RC aircraft. This kind of support from hard working employees isnt seen often at other places. I am a lifer at Nankin Hardware & Hobby!!...

Customer service has went downhill.

Had an older coworker for mine looking for product. Noticed Ace hardware had it local and they showed 1 in stock on his website.

He went there that night and was told we don't even sell that product. Unfortunately my coworker isn't tech savvy to show them their own website. So the next day he let me know what they said. So I called and gave the item number the lady that answered was helpful and let me know they had it and it was in stock.

Sent my co worker back again after being on speaker phone with the person who answered the phone. Once again didn't have it.

So third time he called the store himself once again yes we have it.

He was finally able to get the item after 3 trips to the store.... 20 min drive each time.

Waste of gas and...
