Visited the museum last weekend. It just opened in Garden Grove. I was surprised to hear that it has been in Westminster for a few years, but I had not known about it. As a history buff, I really enjoyed many of the stories behind the items on display. The culture of this diaspora was born from the South Vietnamese state becoming refugees in exile and it is very encouraging to see that the museum focuses on this point. I think people sometimes forget that the culture is a unique one formed by the memory of the experience of the war and refugee journey. It isn't the same as that in Vietnam today. Read moreParking lot is a nightmare. I get to museum and it's locked it says go downstairs and ask someone at another business to unlock it. I did and he was nice but clueless and he called someone they didn't or wouldn't come. Total waste of time. I won't be back.
