Environment: Extremely friendly! The artists and guests/customers were amazing and so welcoming. We were greeted and checked on while watching for our artist to set up

Process: Efficient and quick. We arrived and was immediately greeted. We were sat at the waiting area while filling up the consent form. Bring ID as they will need to make a copy and for verification.

Artist: We went with Masha. The most talented artist we've come across in such a long time. Patient, explained the process, offered mini breaks, working area was sanitized, clean and tidy

Pre tattoo: Go to their Instagram page, pick an artist, DM them and explain your idea. A deposit is required to secure your session. Design will be shared before coming in so any changes can be made before your appointment

Post tattoo: Pay remaining balance. You have the option to purchase an after care set (not forced or pushed on you). Bring cash as there is a surcharge for using a card

Curtis, the shop owner, we have known just a little bit longer than the shop has been open. He did some amazing work for both my wife and me once, and we followed him to his own shop!

While Curtis hasn't done any work on us at his new shop (yet), Blake - another artist who works there, has inked both of us twice each. Fantastic work by a young, up and coming (hell, he's already there) tattoo artist. He looks young but his work is that of an old, veteran in the industry. If you have the opportunity to get some of Blake's work, don't hesitate!

Curtis is a low key shop owner - he doesn't run around like "I own this place." Humble, one would say. However, any artist's work that leads them to owning their own Art Gallery and Tattoo Studio should speak for itself. I had an amazing experience at Black Umbrella! The staff was friendly and made me feel completely at ease. Riley was incredibly talented and took the time to really understand what I wanted. She offered great suggestions and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. The final piece turned out even better than I imagined — the linework is clean, the shading is beautiful, and the attention to detail is top-notch.
