Lakewood Kennels - European Doberman Breeder & Puppies — Attraction in Weston

I truly don’t even know where to begin. I was doing research for a while before choosing a breeder & when I found Lakewood Kennels’ website it stuck out from the rest. Right away the website was top tier, you could tell the owner of the company put in time & effort to the website & had amazing information all through out the website. I read everything top to bottom, when I had a question, I kept reading on the website & that question would be answered.. it was honestly amazing. So I filled out the application & Rick was in contact with me pretty instantly. We talked on the phone & I instantly knew this was our breeder. His knowledge & genuine care for the breed & their health is simply un matched. Rick stayed in contact with me from the moment we “met” on the phone all the way until we took our puppy home which was 6 months for us. & we’re still in touch now as he truly cares about the puppies & wants to make sure they’re doing well. Lastly, this dog is not just a dog, or a puppy, or a pet… this is genuinely a member of our family. I’ve had dogs my entire life, all different breeds. This by far is the most amazing dog I’ve ever had or experienced in my entire life. He is so confident, brave, curious, loving, sweet, ambitious, strong, smart… the moment we walked into our home with him he immediately blended in like he’s lived there forever (& we have two other dogs..). He is so desensitized already because Rick works on that with them from a young age & nothing bothers our puppy! His temperament is absolutely incredible & he loves all people already. I could truly go on & on & on… Rick, you are incredible & so unmatched! Thank you endlessly! We will be in touch again one day...

We have been working with Rick for about a year and a half securing our now, 9 month old European Doberman. Rick was incredible to me and my family while we asked a million plus questions about his dogs, his process, the breed in general, the pros, the cons, our concerns…We had so many things we needed help with and Rick was beyond incredible for every call, every text, every email. He gave us informed decisions, he gave us resources and how to’s, and most importantly when we were ready and the time came, he gave us the greatest fur family member we could have ever dreamed of! Our girl lives amongst my husband and I, our three beautiful children, cats, and a tiny pug. She is the most beautifuly bred, kind, gentle, magestic animal I have ever had (don’t tell my other animals I said that😂) I can not say enough good things about our experience with Rick and the product of what he delivers, our baby, Maya Bunny is more than we ever could have imagined, we are all so madly in love with her, we get stopped constantly to have pictures or video taken of her and all of this is due to the incredible breeding that Rick guarantees from generations of profound knowledge, time, love, care, empathy and attention. It is an art and a craft to breed the way he does, I truly could go on an on in detail of how amazing he handled every aspect of his company, from the way he treats his customers to the way he cares for the Momma after birth, and the babies, to the after care etc. if this is your breed, I would not trust anyone else but Rick country wide for the purchase of a European Doberman. I recently received my first Doberman from Rick at Lakewood Kennels. This is not my first Doberman but my 1st from Lakewood. I currently have a 5 year old female Doberman that i purchased from another breeder and while she is an amazing dog she sadly has multiple genetic diseases that inflict her greatly and will no doubt shorten her life. I absolutely adore the Doberman breed and when I decided I wanted another one my first priority was finding a breeder you took the health of the dog as seriously as the family receiving it would. I could see right away all the testing and time Rick put into making sure any dog he sold someone would be of the highest standard of health and temperament . Rick was also a pleasure to deal with and made the entire process very easy. Right up to the day he delivered our puppy right to our doorstep. While we have only had our puppy a short time I can already tell what an amazing dog he will be. He is easily taking to training. Hardly cries. And also very sweet and playful around my other dogs and children. I am also most impressed by his confidence at such a young age. My family and I could not be happier. Thank you Rick.
